The question is why would the United States have to invade Iran? For all their posturing, the Iranian goverment is not made up of fools. Major gasoline and POL shortages would mean an inability to mobilize their military effectively. Also, the United States and Israel are not the only nations that do not wish for Iran to develop nuclear power. Many Arab nations would have little issue with attacking the nuclear reactors.

The U.S. could be invading Iran presently. For some motives, one which you have already listed: one million) The heavy water centers produce biproducts which could be used to form plutonium for nuclear bombs. that's for sure sufficient for the UN to place in writing up some meaningless papers for them to quit shape, whether, i do no longer think of Iran will end any time quickly. 2) no longer lots of people understand this yet many of the guerrilas in Iraq who're killing our brothers and sisters are iraqi militant AND Iranian militant communities. 3) the place do Hezbollah get their missiles and rockets from to attack our Israeli best buddy? Syria and Iran. Iran helps the weapons, the Syrians help the money. How do they get the money? From our gas industry. we actually could locate an determination.

The minimum estimation on Iran being able to build a nuke is 5 years.. so figure 3-4 years if things remain the way they are.

More likely, the US will bomb the nuclear installations. As a result of this, nuclear contamination in the form of a cloud will spread all over the world and cause cancer and other diseases as far away as America itself. Remember what happened after the Chernobyl disaster. War against Iran will mean more medical expenses and an earlier death for YOU and YOUR FAMILY no matter where in the world you live.

Democracy to the west of me Democracy to the east....... looks like my butts in trouble again.

The goal of the US has been to cause an internal revolution not for an invasion.
