Hi You know even with our medication we can still have break-through episodes. You need to talk with your doctor about it and tell him/her what is going on. It can take some time to get the right level of medication for you and with lithium they have to be very careful because of how toxic it can be to our bodies. talk with your doctor and maybe you will hee to be on a slightly higher dose. take care good luck

Anything you are anxious about ?

Maybe let you doctor know about how you are feeling. What do you think ? I read a tremendous book called "The Unquiet Mind" by Dr.Kay Redfield Jameson and we have to be compliant and have the dosage of our medication adjustted correctly.

When Dr.Jameson wrote this book she took Lithium and was a Professor of Psychiatry with a PHD in Psychology

I take depakote.
I have an Aunt who is a retired entertainer and at one time she took Lithium and boy can she sing and relate to an audience.

The therapeutic dosage of Lithium is close to the danger level, so mental health professionals sometimes start at a lower dosage. Also, medications take time to beome fully effective: sometimes several weeks: how long have you been using it? Make an appointment ASAP, (you may need to either try something else, or increase the dosage) then see bipolar disorder, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 10.

The reason is, your body is now used to that level of dosage but before increasing it, try EFT as a definate cure for you depression. The website is www.emofree.com. This is not my site, I might add, but this method of therapy is getting very popular for most problems with an emotional cause owing to the speed of the revoveries and the lasting effect. By the way, I think you mean Librium as Lithium is what Captain Kirk gets to power his Enterprise.

Go back to your doctor and talk to him/her about getting your medication adjusted.
Make sure you are going to therapy too!
I went through that for several years, and therapy was amazing!
I no longer take my medication and am happier than ever after going through complete therapy! It took a few years though!
Sometimes I have episodes, but are rare and short lived.
Good luck and many blessings!

you might need to higher your dosage. i've been on ABILIFY for about 4 months now and i still do feel my manic episodes, they're just easier to maintain.. so talk to your psychiatrist/doctor about it.. you might need to higher your dosage.. good luck and hope you mellow down a little.
