Looking for fishing spots preferable Nassau County. I was just at Field 10 at Jones Beach only caught a hand full of fish nothing bigger than my hand. There's gotta be more spots, any ideas??

In a few more weeks, the bluefish should come close enough to the shoreline that you would be able to catch them at Field 6 or West End 2. Mixed in with the bluefish should also be striped bass. Yet right now the surf is slow. Once we get our first morning frost, the mullets should start moving out of Jones Inlet and the fishing should start to get real good. As far as Jones Beach Piers, Field 10, it's usually slow there because you need a 75 yard cast to get your rig into the state boat channel. Also you could try Jones Inlet, the backside of West End 2, but you need to buy a $20 night fishing permit at the Field 4 administration building to park there.

Yes, depending on age though. Most states don't require you to have one until you are 16 years old.
