My wife is from the Philippines and is also in process of immigrating to the US. I believe you would be able to go back for up to a year without affecting your immigration status. However, it is my understanding that even if you get your degree in nursing in the Philippines, you would still need to go through schooling and certifications here in the US so it would probably be more time AND money efficient to just stick it out here to start with.

You have to get some money and board a plane. If all else fails, try contacting the Phillipines embassy. Don't know how much they can do for you.

By all means, go home. If it's easier there, why would you stay and try here.
