would you give anymore credence to evolution theory (assuming you do not believe in it now.)

For argument's sake, let's say they mutated the DNA only in a way that could have occurred naturally (i.e. radiation.)

Hey Rev Einstein, why don't you enable your email? Afraid of getting called on your line of b.s.? (all mutations are detrimental - what do you call sickle cells?)

I do not doubt that this exact experiment has already succeeded, take a good look at George Bush.

I like the Poll results. It really means nothing to prove the existence of God.
There was a time in Greece where 91% believed in thier gods too. After that the Romans I bet had a similar figure. I would bet it was higher then 91%.

Just because a majority believes something is right doesn't mean it is. All societies have their religions and in time they fade away with something new just as the Greeks and Romans faith did.

There are already a number of great apes using American sighn language, some of whome know many hundreds of signs and communicate freely.

There's no need to invoke deities or science fiction to show evolution, the evidence for it is everywhere, and is clear, unambigious and compelling.

Only sheer denial, scientific illiteracy, willful ignorance and dishonesty can deny it it to be true..

Rev Albert Einstein, not only are you wrong as usual, you are a liar and a fraud.

Why mutate the DNA? there have already been chimps, orang utans and gorillas that could 'speak' using sign language.

They have shown themselves capable of basic communication and also several incidences which have involved creativity and symbolism. While they are not a sophisticated as Homo Sapiens, they are not far off.

Depends if the beastie could pass those abilities on to offspring. If not it's just a one time mutation although a very impressive mutation.

once the ape would be able to understand and comiunicate , the whole show would be different, it's a BIG thing to be able to express clearly through language, the experiment could not take place , because the ape you're talking about would not be an animal any longer, would be something totally different, perhaps a closer link to us

Sorry impossible to achieve....all mutations are always detrimental to the animal...never any beneficial ones...

which is another reason Evolution theory is a farse.

Evolutionist are always looking for a way to convince themselves of foolish things in spite of evidence to the contrary.
They invent all sorts of things as they go along.....everytime something doesn't work out right they invent another theory to keep it current with the latest discovers which keep invalidating their last assumption....it is really laughable
And sadly, convincing themselves is not enough for them. They have to further perpetuate their deceptions by spreading around to our nations youth. Beware of the radical evolutionists....they will tell you anything to keep you from believing in a Creator.

the hard core faithful will always find a way to discount totally rational scientific explanations for nature's event. Why? Because they don't want to risk pissing off the big white bearded guy they believe is floating around up there on the clouds.

For my friends that don't believe in evolution this would not affect them one bit. They would find a reference in the bible to explain it or play the devil card. Actually, they'd say the end is coming more.

I believe in evolution and think the apes are very happy how they ended up....simple life....and we should leave them alone.

Depends on who you ask. Christians would claim it's an abomination created by man, and proves nothing. Evolutionists would claim that it's proof of concept for evolution. The net change in opinion would be zero.
