God was not created. God is the Creator. If God was created, then whoever created him would be God. Any way you look at it, there has to have been an original Creator, by whatever name you choose to call that Creator. Our universe is entirely cause-and-effect; for any effect, there must be a cause. The world didn't just randomly happen. The universe didn't just randomly appear. The Big Bang wasn't a random occurrence. The matter that made the Big Bang happen couldn't randomly have existed if Someone didn't put it there. God is the original cause.

The chicken and the egg question hardly means much now days. If you believe in creation (e.g. god) then the chicken came first because it was simply brought into existence. However, if you believe in evolution, then the egg came first, laid by whatever creature the chicken evolved from. The animal that laid it would not quite have been a chicken but the offspring was genetically different (evolved) enough from its parent to be a different animal (the chicken.)

gods were created by men to explain unknown phenomenon and events. at one point, by a group of people the normal pantheon of gods (polytheism) was replaced by a single god (monotheism). I am unable to remember if the god known as jehovah (sp) is the first example of monotheism but is one of the most well known. in my opinion, gods are/have also been used to fulfill personal needs/desires without taking responsibility or blame. War, murder, genocide, theft, greed, etc, etc ...

just my three cents ...

Which one?
There have been untold thousands of so-called Gods and they all have different names.
They were created to explain the "magic" of life, to expel fears of death and loneliness, desperation and other normal anomalies.
People also invented them for profit and to keep others in line, so there would be less hassles from some rowdy elements.
Many were also created just to entertain around the campfire, there was no television and the imagination had to be relied on for entertainment.

By definition, the Christian God never came into existence; that is, He is the uncaused cause (Psalm 90:2). He was always in existence, and He is the one who created space, time, and matter. This means that the Christian God is the uncaused cause and is the ultimate creator. This eliminates the infinite regression problem.

Some may ask, "But who created God?" The answer is that by definition He is not created; He is eternal. He is the One who brought time, space, and matter into existence. Since the concept of causality deals with space, time, and matter and since God is the one who brought space, time, and matter into existence, the concept of causality does not apply to God since it is something related to the reality of space, time, and matter. Since God is before space, time, and matter, the issue of causality does not apply to Him.

taylor hicks.

...my older brother has a theory that before time, taylor hicks existed in a most pure form. he is the be all and end all of the universe, he can destroy and create worlds. if anyone could actually lay eyes upon him or hear his true voice it would end existance in any galaxy anywhere. (he is also quite similar to kthulu) there's a lot more too it, but I stopped listening.
we used to think he had add. my brother is odd.

God is god, it is opposite to human or creatures types. He is ONE. you been thinking this,"If god created all who created him so that he could create all" because you were created. We were never been able to create human, we can create what we create today in the world, but no one able to create human. this is difference from you and god.

May god shows you the way.

No one created God because he is eternal and omniscient. HE has been there since the beginning and will be there till the end....

He's the Alpha and the Omega (beginning and end)

Man created this being, now called god, because he didn't have a clue about the universe.
