I am spending the weekend soon with my 3 sisters. I want us all to get a tattoo celebrating our sisterhood. I thought the Chinese symbol would be cool. Do you know where I can get an ACCURATE version of the symbol? I have looked on the web and keep finding different versions. Any other sister tat ideas are welcome, but the design must be very small. There are many ways to say "sister" in Chinese.
姊姊 -- older sister
妹妹 -- younger sister
姊妹 -- sister(s)
大姊 -- eldest sister
二姊 -- second-eldest sister (to the siblings with lower ranks)
二妹 -- second-eldest sister (to the eldest sister)
三姊 -- third-eldest sister (to the siblings with lower ranks)
三妹 -- third-eldest sister (to the siblings with higher ranks)
小妹 -- the youngest sister
Etc.

If you want the sign talk to a shop and see if they have it or have a more reliable source. My only concern is that one of you is underage and a sister whose old enough is going to try and sign. That's against the law, if you have to break laws (or try to) just wait. Otherwise within the bounds of the law do a walk in at a shop, if you like the place and the artists ask if they have the symbol and go for it.

elder sister = 姐 younger sister = 妹 sisters = 姐妹 (just put them together lol :P) In Chinese these two symbols are used. e.g. Big sister=大姐, youngest sister=小妹 etc Hope this answers your question. :)

go to about.com and them search for chinese sybol and then you should be able to find it there it is the best place that i have been able to find about the chinese symbols good luck
