I have absolutely no doubt that God is smart enough to have a plan for the salvation of each and ever one of us that is going to work 100 percent of the time.
Any other idea is a complete lack of faith.

Faith means to believe without reason. Some people find it reassuring because it provides an easy way out of life's complex and unpleasant aspects.

It is more verb than noun. Faith is belief in action. I can believe all I want - that is in my heart and head. But, when I step out and do that which I believe, that is faith.
That is what is meant in James where it says, "Faith without works is dead." Faith ain't faith until action is taken.

- What is Faith? When your good deed pleases you and your evil deed grieves you, you are a believer. What is Sin? When a thing disturbs (the peace of) your heart, give it up.
- He who is not trustworthy has no Faith, and he who does not keep his Covenant has no religion.

Trusting the evidence you have seen.
The Bible never asked people to believe without evidence, and it provides such proof!
