What's the difference between "sheet metal" + something called "welding metal"? which is more durable? lighter? etc. etc. details please + thank you

Sheet metal is metal that has been rolled to a specific thickness. Its usually plain steel, but it can be made in other materials.
Welding material is probably what they use to weld metal together. Welding material (or welding rods) are made from a material that is suitable for welding the base metals together.

welding metal may be what I beams are made of along with bridges.

sheet metal is what you heating ventilation air conditioning ( galvanized iron )

The properties can be found in a subject called engineering materials
