My geography teacher told me that a type of evergreen tree will loose it's leaves in the winter. And I know it's true but I just forgot what's the name of the species.

Any help will be apreiciated

You need to be careful with your terms. Evergreen is given to trees that keep their leaves (needle like) for several years. Of the conifers the larches and bald cypresses lose their leaves annually.

Technically, there isn't one. the word evergreen means that it doesn't lose all its needles every year. However, there are a few conifers (trees that bear cones, and usually needles), that do lose their leaves.

Metasequoia glyptostroboides, known as Dawn Redwood
Taxodium distichum, or bald cypress
Larix decidua, or Common Larch

These are the three that I'm familiar with.
