Why does everyone think global warming is real?

Global Warming is FAKE! There isnt any evidence behind it! Its getting hotter because its a cycle. It gets Cold then hot ect, ect. Half of america just believe every thing they hear or watch on TV.

Imagine working on studying man made global warming for 20plus years only to find out that it natural cycles of the earth and sun.

What would you do after you just realized that you spent your entire adult life studying something that wasn't real?

Your future depends on the future of global warming. You have kids to put through college, a mortgage to pay off and a retirement fund to build up.

Clearly I would never admit that I wasted my life. I would dig in and do everything I could to prove to you that there was impending doom, and only I, a climatologist, could save you from you deciant way of living!

-Ok, the term global warming refers only to the fact that the earth's climate is warming. Anthropogenic, or human-made global warming is what you are referring to. And thank you for posting my profile information for...what reason?

I have to contradict something you said. That "there isn't any evidence behind it!" First, I have to define global warming. It is an increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained increase sufficient to cause climatic change. The carbon dioxide in the air has increased dramatically enough to cause "climatic changes." Polar bears are dying, because they can't swim to the nearest floating ice in time to rest. Coral reefs are dying around the Middle East. Coral reefs are extremely sensitive to the global climate, so when they die at this rate, it is evidence that something is wrong. And is it just coincidence that the top 10 hottest years are 1998, 1999, 2000-7?

Get used to it. There is global warming. In a couple decades, it'll only get worse. Save this planet, clean up the beach, join environmental groups and become an activist. Don't kill our home planet.

Global warming is real. You're right there are gracual changes of climates and that's normal, there's a cycle inthose changes. Just like the earth is constantly in movement, but we don't see it. The center of the earth is a burning plasma which produces earthquakes, volcanos, ( tsunami ) is not a sudden movement from the waters in the oceans, but eruption of volcanos in the seas. North and South poles are constantly interchanging too.

And since I'm getting sick of responding to idiotic people like you who believe everything big business and the government tell you, I have a question for you. In 30+yrs. when your children or your grandchildren ask you "What were you thinking?...and why didn't you do anything to stop the unnatural process of global warming that IS caused by humans?" what are you going to tell them?

Because people have an agenda and global warming fits into it nicely.

Many people see global warming as a way to tax the wealthy nations. Others see it as a way to create a "global governing body". And still others see it as a way to make MONEY.

Did you know that about $50 billion dollars have been spent by government bodies trying to gather data in order to support global warming (opposed to a mere $19 million by oil companies). Even after all of this money has been spent, there has not been any scientific evidence that man as any effect on the climate. But, if scientist and the media come out and says that, the flow of easy money ends, and so does a lot of people's careers.

Well, if there are hundred people think just like yours, the world will destroys faster dan we have no place to live in. Maybe you are right, but if you really concern, you will see that there should be no much hospitals built and nomuch people become ill, such as respiratory disease. I live in village. Everytime i go to a city or town, i will always feel like fainted, hard to breath and sometimes i think that i'm going to die soon. IS THAT YOU NO GLOBAL WARMING??!! Oh come now, Among Myself. You don't mean to say it's scientists flying around in jumbo jets, the argument you're thinking of is to do with Al Gore flying around in a jet. He's not a scientist. You need to get together with a few fellow skeptics and sort out your arguments.

You're all wrong about there being no evidence for anthropogenic global warming too. Climate models, direct observation and experimentation, and historical records all support it. One needs only thumb through the latest IPCC report to see this.

And global warming simply means an increase in the global mean temperature. It doesn't necessarily have to be caused by pollution. Those warming cycles you're talking about were all periods of global warming.

The media is trying to make people aware of this issue by putting fear into them by bringing up news stories like a huge chunk of ice, the size of NYC, broke off and say its due to global warming. The people are aware and scared to harm the earth by driving or any other way to pollute the air. I think its kinda like terrorism.
