Micheal Vick said he found Jesus after getting caught killing dogs. But I wonder, where was he hiding? And why didn't He step up when Mr. Vick was starting a dog fighting business? Or when he was killing dogs? Are we not stewards of the earth? He clearly knew something about Jesus before he chose to kill dogs, what he just missed that part of His message.

Ok, less sarcasm. Why dont people find Jesus before they get caught doing bad things?

I was there in person this morning, as well as the last time Vick walked into the courthouse.

The first time his body language was arrogant and prideful. The crowd was insanely loud with boos.

Today, his body language was significantly different. He seemed much more "normal" and less prideful.

The vibe from the crowds and the entire atmosphere was different today.

I don't know if he's sincerely found Jesus.

But often times, we have to hit bottom to see that Jesus is the only way back up.

Some do, they're known as the Church. And some of those in the Church didn't listen to Jesus until after they'd screwed up in life.

I have known many felons who found faith after they were caught, some of them in prison.

It does seem a bit convenient doesn't it?

The Jesus I know is broken hearted that Michael Vick and his cohorts were involved in the wanton destruction of those dogs, equally broken hearted at the number of people who surely knew what was going on and stood by and let it continue.

In many cases it's just that, convenience. People who do bad things know they are bad when they're doing them. When they get caught they don't want to pay the penalty for their actions so they say they've "seen the light" hoping I'm sure for a lenient sentence

It's an old story.

Some of them I don't doubt may be sincere, But they will all have to face the God they say they've met. Won't that be interesting!?

Well, it just goes to show you, doesn't it? People aren't supposed to, and actually don't, lose Jesus. People turn away from him because they think that they don't need him. I think that we're all guilty of this at some point or another. The fact is the Jesus doesn't force himself on anyone. If you choose not to have him in your life, he will walk away. The good news is that he will come back the instant that you ask him to.

As far as Vick goes, he's greedy and doesn't care that he has to slaughter innocent little animals to make more money. Like he didn't make enough legitimately.

You're right, it's funny how people lose and re-find the savior when it's convenient.

I did find Jesus, and I wasn't doing any bad things I could get caught for... at least, I wasn't killing dogs.

For some people, once they commit a crime or do something "bad", they realize that their life doesn't have a meaning so they find Jesus. For others, they might do "bad things", but stop once they find Jesus in order to try and be more like him.

Good and Bad part is alsways dormant within us. but we are afraid to assert ourselves and activate the Good part.. least we will be rediculed..

Bad part becomes part of mob and society so we feel it is good to allow bad its play and then we imagine that Good has disappered and start the search for Good, God, Jesus, Krishna, Ram Allah,

We hardly realise this and live the day, the week year decade and whole life.. even whole generations have lived for centuries.. The Day Jesus was crucified same play of Good and Bad was happening..
Magdelena did not bother for any one to bring down the Jesus from Cross. she gave life to Jesus.. He Good part was never hidden..

I didn't hear when he said this! We don't know if he said it because he's had to come to terms with what he's done. And has asked forgiveness for what he's done.
We shouldn't judge him! I have a brother who was in trouble about a month ago.He got out of it (??????)! He was writing letters with bible quotes, saying he wanted to be baptized when he got out of jail.i have talked to him but,he has yet to ask for a baptism date.
All you can do is pray for him to listen to the Holy Ghost when he tries to help guide him onto the right path.
I pray Mr.Vick ,realizes now, what a bad thing he did! Take care!

Because people need to get to a point in their lives where they recognize the need for Jesus. And, just like an alcoholic, they must reach a very low point before the Holy Spirit can break through their chains of pride and selfishness to see the greater truth around them.

I guess it is like the saying that there aren't any atheists in fox holes. I have seen some people that say they have found Jesus, actually keep Him. Most say it, and move on like nothing happened. I believe some of these are the ones that will say Lord, didn't we do .....in your name, and He will say, I never knew you. Depart from me.

Personally, I think that line is just used to try and make others believe that a person has reformed. Sometimes it may be true, but I don't think it is true as much as some wish us to think. I think it's just a cop out, a way of elliciting sympathy when they know they're about to be taken down hard.
