Yep, this country is screwed. And a lot of it has to do with Christianity gaining power. These are people whose vision works but are blind. Christians contradict themselves and their beliefs all the time but are too ignorant to realize what a clusterf**k they're creating for everyone else.

I feel cheated since the get-go, (Im a Floridian so I know that my vote did not count the first time).

By all measurements it looks like this country is going nowhere fast, I feel one of the crucial things that we as Americans have to do is to draw a very clear line between religion and government; and keep religion out of it.

By all means have freedom to worship what you want BUT KEEP THE STATE OUT OF IT. WE ARE A DEMOCRACY PEOPLE. NOT NOT NOT A THEOCRACY.
lets get our country back, those Bible thumping b*stards have given Christianity and all religion for that matter a dirty name.

As a Christian (not the kind you described) I'm embarrassed by it all. I don't like Bush or the war, and I'm a liberal. I just hate seeing that a great spiritual path is being ruined by so many in the government. I have a hard time listening to it all.

Our country was never meant to not mix religion and politics. I mean, that's how we got started was to have a safe place to worship whatever you wanted. To think none of them are going to influence our politics? Anyway, the constitution says that we won't have an OFFICIAL religion as a country. We don't. They never said anything about mixing religion and politics. So that's the wrong argument to be using.
You get crazies in any religion.

Wow. You think I'm Anti-American? I love this place and I'd rather not go anywhere else. I just want to be able to have bible study and prayer in my school without it being illegal in a few years from now. :)

I know what you mean though. People that hate others and condemn others aren't right. Christianity is supposed to be about love so those "haters" aren't really saved..

I think that as individuals we need to be moral and virtuous, look within. We can't look to Bush to set an example! Find a family member that you can look up to. My grandma is my hero. I do feel cheated by the government~but not by my family.

Yes, what can we say? We believe God, and our country is noted for it.

We are also said to be the world's only superpower, and highest in standards to how we treat the poor, giving more of ourselves to those in need.

But you are right, of course!

The whiny people have too much to complain about, poor babies.

Well the way I see it, christians, non-believers, demon worshippers, wiccans, pagans, etc....you name them, we're all to blame for the way this country is being ran!! God cries because of the way we have destroyed and manipulated things! He wants us to look at the bigger picture and realize that HE's NOT THE ONE TO BLAME for all that is wrong with this world...WE ARE!!

Do you realise what Christians, and God have done for this country?? Well do you? Why don't you try living in another country for a while and see how little freedom people have. We fought for freedoms so people like you can resent and twist the Christian message?? I don't appreciate this.
