Yes, I believe they have a soul very strongly. In the scriptures it says something about God creating everything in Heaven before He created it on Earth, which I've been told implies a soul.
I have a very strong connection with my pets, and I've had quite a few in my life. I love them SO much, they're like a member of my family and I'd do anything for them, and I've been like this since the day I was born. When I moved out of my parents house, they had an older dog who I loved and cherished more than I had before, he was my baby, but I couldn't take him with me to college. He passed away while I was gone, and my dad called me that day to tell me. I was heart broken. A friend of mine sat and talked me through it, but I was still upset. That night as I was driving home, a white dog ran in front of my car. I wasn't going that fast, and it ran quite a bit ahead of me, so I didn't need to slam on my breaks or anything, but it turned it's head towards me and a peace washed over me. I had this feeling that my dog was okay, and that I was going to see him again. Some people I tell this story to tell me that the dog was my dogs spirit, I don't know about that, but I guess it's a possibility.

The Bible was originally written mainly in Hebrew and Greek. When writing about the soul, the Bible writers used the Hebrew word ne´phesh or the Greek word psy·khe´. These two words occur well over 800 times in the Scriptures. When one examine the way "soul" or "souls" is used in the Bible, it becomes evident that this word basically refers to:
(1) people, (2) animals, or (3) the life that a person or an animal enjoys.
People. "In Noah's days . . . a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water." (1 Peter 3:20)
Animals. "God went on to say: 'Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.' And God went on to say: 'Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.' And it came to be so." (Genesis 1:20, 24)
Life as a person. "All the men who were hunting for your soul are dead." (Exodus 4:19)
So according to the Creator of both humans and animals, none have a soul. They ARE souls.

The souls of people are the thoughts of God..... Therefore, the souls of animals are the thoughts of God, since it takes thought to create, God then breathes life into the soul, and sends it to be redeem.

If souls existed, certainly animals would have them as well. The conceit of humans, especially the religious, goes beyond the pale. Animals are far more worthy.

The SPIRIT is said to be EVERYWHERE and in all things. Since everything would be a manifestation of the SPIRIT.
In the Leviticus Covantent, even animals that were hunted were to be treated with ritual and ceremony. One was to bury the blood---the LIFE FORCE, and take the animal to 'church' to be drained of its blood upon the alter of god, and be blessed by the priest.

There is just no way I can look into my loving puppy's little eyes and not believe that there is a soul there.

If there is such a thing, either yes or Pablo Neruda's belief is.
He thought that you have to earn a soul through prayer, suffering and compassion...

I guess it really comes down to what your definition of soul is. If soul is just a life force then yes, If soul is definided as thoughts and emotions, maybe no. I couldn't say.

I think so, anyone who is capable of all good and evil things have souls, BUT their purpose is to give Humans comfort and others to bring balance in Nature, that is why they were not given the "Brains" that Humans have and that is also why we could kill them

No they don't have souls. God spoke them into existence. Man He created, in His own image, and He breathed into him and man became a living soul.
