American families are being effected negatively due to illegal immigration?

I posted a question recently and got some responses that helped me to realize something I never had before. Americans are being affected negatively by illegal immigration. Here is an answer I got on my previous question:

"...I and my fellow workers who lost jobs to illegals who work for less pay..."

I also got this answer:

"...I cannot get any gov medical care & I can't even get my son on Medicaid because we earn 3 bucks a month OVER their limits, but an illegal can get free medical care, food stamps, free housing, have babies here ...."


What I'm saying is people are loosing their jobs because illegals can afford to live off of pennies an hour. Americans can't because of taxes. People out there can't afford to have medical insurance for their families, but illegals can get any medical work done for free. It isn't right. Americans are being affected by this worse than anyone else. I would like to know what you American pro-illegals think of this.

The housing market decline is actually the fault of illegals. They buy a house, let it run down and bring property value down with it.

First, the housing market decline is NOT because of criminal immigrants. It's in decline because so many people bought at a time when housing prices were ridiculously high, and now prices are starting to return to where they should be.

But other than that you're right, and you're just hitting the tip of the iceberg.

Criminal immigrants have deflated the pay scale across all aspects of the workplace. They drain something in the nature of 100 billion a year (or more!) in social, education and criminal justice costs. And that's just looking at the short term problems they're causing...

Long term we're looking at rapid over-population resulting in a much lower standard of living.

in the area i live in they have community clinics and illegals are allowed to use them who do you suppose picks up the tab? hospitals are not able to turn away patients whether they are able to pay if you're illegal and you give a false I.D. and the hospital is not able to find you to collect who do you think pays for that? schools do not have to establish that you are a citizen yet the cost is put on all the rest of us who pay taxes not just for regular classes but the remedial classes that are necessary to hopefully bring illegals children up to speed. all states are different as to the requirements for services/benefits and you will see dense populations of illegals in those states that have a low standard of proof. illegals are quite aware as to what they can get and where they can get it. do you think low income housing is limitless? why do you think there are waiting lists to get such housing? any service that is utilized by an illegal (they do use false I.D.'s) cheats a legal low income persons family out of a benefit/service that they should be afforded and puts more burden on middle class americans. those who say otherwise apparently cannot read and are blind. please take all your ignorance and go elsewhere or educate yourself before you spew your misinformation.

Take a poll on anyone who supports illegal aliens and you will find that 99% of them are:

1) an illegal alien
2) has illegal alien parents (is an anchor baby)
3) has other illegal alien relatives
4) is married to, or living with, or boyfriend/girlfriend of an illegal alien
5) is a criminal employer of illegal aliens
6) profits off of illegal aliens (such as teaching ESL classes)
7) some of the above
8) all of the above.

EDIT: Sulema - aztec is NOT native to the United States of America. Aztec is NOT U.S.native American indian - aztec is an extinct civilization (most mexicans are mayan- few are aztec, they just claim to be) and aztec is indigenous to the land south of the existing US/Mexico border,Mexico. No aztec ever lived anywhere the USA is now. There has never been any tribe which ever lived on what is US lands called "aztec". Studies show those most adversly (negatively) effected by illegal aliens are: .......
1st - U.S. born blacks, and 2nd U.S. born hispanics, so you really need to learn more about the issue of illegal immigration, it effects citizens and legal immigrants of all ethnicities.

edit: amanda - there you go again spreading lies - the fact is that illegal aliens DO get welfare and social services of all kinds, including WIC, food stamps, HUD housing (currently 40% of all HUD housing in the USA is occupied by illegal aliens), all kinds of subsidies, funded out of the taxpayers pockets, called a whole lot of deceptive names, like "Subsidies for Immigrants Not Elegible for Services Because of Legal Status" ( that one is from the state of California).
So get your facts straight and try to post the truth.

EDIT: Amanda I live in California, a state which is FULL of illegal aliens and has been for the past couple of decades, our state legislature is full of latinos, the latino caucus has insinuated many, many welfare programs for illegal aliens into our state budget. I am sure Wisconsin has a few illegal aliens, we have MILLIONS here in California.
I know for a fact what benifits illegal aliens get, and I know what it is costing the taxpayers of this state, and the nations taxpayers. Yes, I have access to that information.

You keep saying they get NONE. YOU ARE WRONG!
I suggest next time you want to claim that illegal aliens get no benifits, you qualify it by saying illegal aliens in Wisconsin get no benifits other than those who have anchor babies and those who scam the system and those who live in HUD housing and those who get WIC etc.... THAT would be more honest.
Saying that no illegal aliens get benifits is a lie.

The state I live in does give Medicaid, WIC, Food Stamps, Public Assistance, etc, etc, to illegals. On our health department wall is a sign that says a person must be legal to get these services. BUT, if the person can not proove they are legal , all they have to do is sign a waver claiming that they are. (dee dee dee)

Hi, Lex. Allow me to just point out a couple of things: undocumented workers DO NOT qualify for public assistance. This is handled on a state-by- state basis, so some states may not check as well as we do. WE check with the federal system to make sure that ALL names and social security numbers match. If they do not, it is rejected. Also, in saying that a person become eligible for benefits when they have a child, that is also not true. The child becomes eligible for benefits. That means that child can receive medical assistance, food stamps, etc. Not the rest of the family. THe citizen child only. Of course, the parents me eat some of the food, but, the allotment amount is for 1 person. Not a lot of $. WIC is on a completely different funding base, so, they allow undocumented people to receive benefits.

I do know. There are many topics that I don't touch because I don't know enough about them. This, is part of my job. You are right but the effect of illegal aliens is not just negative on families but on all aspects of society, including our laws.
Many say their benefit out weights this, does it?

Illegal Immigrants are the new catch-all for blame with everything Americans feel is wrong with this country.

The way I see it, Conservative want to put as much blame on whatever they can on the Illegals. I actually had someone argue to me that the housing market decline can be directly blamed on Illegal Immigrants!

Conservatives feel America would be a Utopia if we just got rid of the Mexicans. They don't mind any other group of Illegal Immigrants, they just hate the Mexicans.

We all have to blame something right? African Americans love to blame racism for all their troubles, and now Conservative White America loves to blame Mexicans for any perceived difficultly they have in their life.

I couldn't find contracting jobs anymore because everyone in the market wants to open up there own business and hire illegals. I understand slave labor is effective....but at what cost?

Clever to call people "pro-illegals," but anyway...

Our corporations are voluntarily giving up countless more jobs to residents in foreign countries than to illegal immigrants in this country.

Don't get me wrong, uncontrolled immigration is a problem, but ultimately we would be better of if we were more concerned about global trends and runaway globalization than illegal immigrants.
