Ramadan is such a special month. To me, it's a time for reflection on all the blessings Allah has given me. It also helps me improve my iman (faith) and my deen (religion). What does it mean to you? How does it make you feel? What special things do you do during this Holy month?

Rosh, I hate you feel that way. Unfortunately it is true. I'd like to think that these individuals will eventually reframe from these sins after Ramadan. Some Muslims really need this kind of discipline to push them in the right direction.

As hard as it is to fast and observe Ramadan in the secular west, it's always sad when Ramadan is over.

Ramadan is always a welcome month in my life. I've fasted this month every year for many years, and it's always the same. It's a time to reflect on the important things in life, strengthen your faith, read the entire Qur'an, and make an effort to pray the Taraweeh at night. It's also always nice to view broadcasts of the Taraweeh prayers from Mecca. It's a spiritually joyous month for me, as I'm sure it is for many Muslims throughout the world!

I think fasting, once your body gets used to if after the first few days, shifts your mind into a different dimension of thinking. I'm always creative in Ramadan, an recurring observation I've witnessed first hand... :)

Man must feel the hunger of others.
Man must feel the thirst of others.
Only then is there a chance for the quality of "Compassion",
to become firm in mans heart.

In the month of "Ramadan" it would be good for man to fast also from the negative qualities, such as backbiting, treachery, falsehood, greed, miserliness, and the list goes on and on and on!

Pay particular attention to the "Night of Power".

May everyone have an enlightening "Ramadan"!

This is my seventeenth (17), "Ramadan", they do get easier physically, but you never know what to expect as the "Inner Heart" work takes place.

sorry but i don't believe in it. i don't think staying hungry for 12 hours can make u understand what poor people go through coz they don't eat a big big 5 cours meal in the evening!
and i really feel sad when i see double standards of some people who just stop doing things like drinking, partying, sleeping with girls for a month and they start again after the eid! u r either religios or not...u can't be religios for a month!
but it's a free world and if u feel good than good for u!
