My BF is in his brothers wedding and it going to be this huge formal wedding. We will be staying in this fancy hotel for the weekend because we live like 3hrs away and with the rehersal dinner and then the wedding I thought it be easier to just stay close. So my question is for the women out there, have you ever wish that you packed something when you thought "na I won't need it" and then wish you had it? What advice do you have for me to pack that I might wish I had brought along.
Thank You.

Extra hose!
Aspirin - or some sort of pain reliever.
Snacks and something to drink.
Nail polish.
Razor.
Band-aids.
Hair dryer.
Nail file.
Sewing kit - my husband is forever popping buttons off.

Finally - my last trip I wish I had remembered a "Tide To Go" stick to remove the sauce I dripped right on my right "girl"!

Have fun!!!

Well, I went out of town for my own wedding the weekend before last, and the only thing I wished I had brought was more bobby pins for my hair. I didn't have enough, and had to pick a different style the hour before the ceremony.

But I'm one of those pople who starts making lists of things to pack like a week ahead of time, and who takes a minimum of two bags just for myself. I always end up bringing home all sorts of things I never even took out of the bag, like extra shoes.

But making a list is really a good idea, because you can tweak the list beforehand, so when it comes time to pack, you can just start grabbing things, you won't have to think 'okay, what else do I need?'

well in this scenario - you are attending two specific events, so pick out what you are going to wear to the rehearsal and wedding and all of your accessories for that. Then just pack a casual outfit for the rest of the days you will be there along with some comfy sweats for sleeping or lounging around. lay out what outfits you will be wearing and then pack just that.

If you're wearing hose, pack extras... like twice as many extras! That bottle of nail polish, never know when you'll chip. Tweezers (as previously mentioned). I carry nail clippers and asprin in my purse, but if you dont.. good idea! Safety pins, i always travel with safety pins. If you think... na i wont need that: Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

Besides, we're women... we're expected to have big bags for 2 day trips!

You can't go wrong with the little black dress, or black slacks and a nice blouse (at least for the rehearsal dinner.)

Always pack something in case it is cold or too warm! Don't forget PJ's in case you have to answer the door (been there done that!!)

It doesn't matter I always forget something and ending up buying it.

I hope you remember everything!

I always regret not packing my own shampoo and conditioner. Invariably, the hotel's cute little bottles of stuff don't work with my hair, and I'm bent out of shape. Lately, I've been packing my own single servings of toiletries in zip-loc snack sized bags (shampoo, hair gel, toothpaste, even deodorant!). It beats the heck out of shlepping the full size bottle/package, and then I don't have to try to find travel sizes.

Tweezers. I never take tweezers and I always wind up needing them. Also, nail clippers and a small bottle(purse size) of asprin and a roll of Tums, those are things that consistently someone(even if its not you, someone will need them and come to you looking for them) needs on trips.

I'd pack everything, blowdryer, shampoo rinse, soap, compact mirror with tweezer, small scissors for grooming, nail file, jewelry, the right undergarmets for your dress (strapless bra), cell phone charger, perfume, tampons, lotion, q tips, foot scrubber for pedicure and any medications (pepto, aspirin). I almost forgot mine.

you will know to take clothes for the official events but also take some comfy shorts or yoga pants and a t shirt for just hanging out and relaxing or to travel home
