Someone who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia whether medicated or not is generally not dangerous. I do worry about his anger issues, but the level of danger really is dependent on his anger issues and probably on the nature of his dellusions as well has his past history in dealing with anger. I myself have what some would call anger issues, but really I just yell scream, throw things and take it out on myself. I'd never hurt another person, but some with anger issues do harm others. As for brains and brawn? Not dangerous unless you're stupid.

In short, based on this short description I'd say it's impossible to tell.

Hmmm, reminds me of an ex-boyfriend. Turned out to be a psycho stalker. Without going into details, I wish I had left him a lot sooner. Girl, if you have to ask such a question, you should be seeing red flags all over him. Love is blind. He's probably not as brainy, brawny or intuitive as you think. And he's probably more angry, paranoid and schizo, than you know. Those disorders only get worse as the person ages. Can you say psycho? He probably has an army of skeletons in the closet too. You can't fix him, don't even try. Run away and don't look back, go back, don't even talk back. It's not worth it. Forget about him. You deserve better. A man like that will never make anyone happy. Get out of town for awhile, change your phone number, your e-mail address, your home address, your friends and your name if you have! OK, maybe not your name or all your friends. Maybe you don't need to change your address or get out of town. But just lose this guy. You need to get as far away from him as possible. He sounds very unstable and dangerous. If he is not being properly treated by a psychiatrist and if he is using alcohol or drugs, it makes him lethal. Girl, you know what you gotta do. Get going, dump him and flush him. Move on. Take care of yourself. Go find someone that makes you happy. Someone you feel safe with. God bless you.

The vast majority of paranoid schizophrenics are no more or less violent than the average person. However a paranoid personality disordered person actually is statistically considerably more violent than both despite this information seeming to invoke a stereotype.

BTW: How do you tell the difference? A schizophrenic is more delusional than one with PPD however only a certified psychiatrist can make an accurate distinction generally speaking. Also halucinations are more common with schizophrenia than personality disorders.

Size can be a great misconception when it comes to the metally ill. A small person who is having an episode can be just as lethal as a larger person. Unmedicated schizophrenics are difficult to reach and the paranoia makes it more difficult. My recommendation would be to let professionals deal with this and tread lightly if at all.
