Since I can remember I've experienced deja-vu, but before I knew the name of it, I used to just say to myself "I've seen this scene before".
When I was about 14 and moved to a new area I started having dreams that would come true - deaths of famous people, fires in buildings etc. These things scare the life out of me.
I've always felt like there could be a bit of psychic in me, I can sometimes tell people details about themselves that I just "know" even though I've never been told them.

Is there any way of developing my abilities?

You are not alone. you are not weird, you are psychic, you just need a good teacher to show you how to develop your gift and teach you how to use it properly. First thing you do is this; go to your local Spiritualist Church and explain to them how you feel and what your dreams are like. Explain the feelings of Deja vu and ask for their help in finding someone to guide you. They won't laugh at you or turn you away, they are very friendly people and will welcome someone with a talent like yours. The second thing you do is this; Learn to love your gift, you have been chosen to help and guide other people. In time, you will become a very powerful medium, you will be able to give advice to people to avoid them being hurt, physically and emotionally. Take up the idea of Reiki, too. You have the ability to become a great healer. Not only that, it will help you to relax, as well as giving something extra to the people who come to you for help. Take things slowly, don't try to rush. Your abilities need to be honed and that takes time and patience, you will get there, trust me, I know these things! Take care and keep smiling!

You cannot personally develop your abilities, but by becoming quiet within your own psyche, you can make yourself more receptive so the gift will explain itself to you. A famous psychic once told me it is like a radio station that is on all the time and we tune into and tune out of it. That sort of does catch the truth of how it works. Some people when I see them are like engines pulling a whole string of cars behind them, and each car is a quality or piece of information I can describe or tell them. I see the whole train in one instant like a snapshot illuminated by a flash bulb at night. You see the whole thing and then it is gone. You can train yourself to remember every single detail of that brief flash. Be mindful to keep away from negative people. It will not only hurt them (this negativeness), but it will hurt you, also. There is no point served in arguing. The gift is what it is.

It appears that you already have psychic ability. Don't push it, or try too hard. It is something in you that should be nurtured and treated with respect. If you are seeing things that frightens you, say that you don't want that sort of psychic experience. Learn to control it, and not let it control you. With practise, this does work. Most people are born with this ability, but most lose it as they grow older, and more sceptical. When I describe psychic ability to those who mock it, I usually remind them about their instinct. When we meet a person for the first time, we immediately fix an opinion of them in our minds. This isn't always logical, but mostly, through time, we realise that our initial feelings were correct. I wish I could go on a little longer, but I have to leave to go shopping. Remember, let your mind fly, but always be in charge, this is the trick you must learn....

It's called the confirmation effect. Everyone has 10-15 dreams a night, and immediately forgets them. You only remember them if something similar happens and triggers the memory - but you're not remembering the many, many dreams that didn't come true. You're remembering when you were right and forgetting when you were wrong - the confirmation effect. No, you're not psychic. No one is. And this happens to everyone once in a while.

i understand there is, perhaps contacting a psychic association may be useful? i too have deja-vu and i always feel the need to let somone know as it is happening especially if my or the other persons conversation (nearly always a family member) is word for word. i often feel that i have to change the dialogue or something weird may happen, it is all very strange!! i dream of family mishaps concerning a motorbike or car and let people know of this, it has helped many times. it can be very scary but is also intriging

Well I dont know. But I think im getting there. For example, last night I had dreams of many people. Including one person i havent seen for a year. Today I saw 3 of the people i dreamed of. It was weird because a girl i had class with last year showed up in my dream. And today i see her. Of all days. I think i have kind of an indirect psychic ability. In which i have visions in indirent ways. Like in dreams. But your ability is awesome. Sorry I cant answer your question.

that is really cool, i mean seriously cool. it might be scary, but it can be useful. although, if you envision something closer to home, like losing a boyfriend, or friend, or something like that, you might go to extreme lengths to either a) protect them, b) or avoid them to save yourself from getting mentally hurt. If with this ability it hinders your future friend/relationships, you might want to find a way to stop the dreams, like talk to a physchiatrist and get some perceptive perspective or a drug to help. i think the only reason this would be a bad thing to see the future to some extent though is if it hit close to home, if it was just about fires or celebrities, then it might be ok, depending on whether or not your comfortable with it, if you just let them continue...
