You might try asking somewhere else besides Singles and Dating. Congratulations on memorizing everything the Bible has to say. Try the Koran, The Talmud and the Book of Kells for more inspirational schtick.

My heart went out to you as I read your piece that I had tears in my eyes as I finished.I don't know the issues that confront you in your life currently but I ask you not to lose hope, belief, desire, and interest. I don't want to offer you the usual platitudes that people give at moments like this. However, believe me when I tell you there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know you say that you have read the bible already but there is no greater source of inspiration than this book. There is no problem or issue that is not treated in it and it is full of the relevant, positive, direct answers to all that ails us.Hence, I will advise you to read it again but this time do it in a targeted manner.By that I mean you should choose the issue that bothers you , then go to the relevant section in the bible that has the inspirational reference and advise. Please don't lose your faith;problems are temporary although when it is happening it does not feel that way..Pray to GOD and ask him to help you with your issues.I guarantee that he will answer you ,just not in the way you expect or want.He always responds to the cries and pain of his children. Please go to him.Keep me posted on how things are working for you.You are not alone.

Actually, the first book wouldn't have been the bible, or even those damn Chicken Soup for the Soul books! lol Nah! Put those aside for a moment and pick up some graphic novels. They're not "graphic" in the bad way, but you know what...you NEVER know what you'll get in a graphic novel (well, you know you'll get pictures), lol.

As for building faith, well, that's something nobody can really guide you with. You've read the bible and I'm sure you've heard people preach, so, you construct the things you will believe in and in a sense---you'll set up your own pillar of faith. You know what you've been taught in church, so read things that CHALLENGE that! That's just me. I used to be very tightly wound, but you know what--ever since I had a philosophy class and have gone through a bunch of graphic novels, not to mention a lifestyle change---I'm much more motivated, I've got tons of faith in God and the things Jesus does/will do for me, the changes Jesus will cause IN ME, and I'm soooooo happy!

Norman Vincent Peale is one of the best. He probably wrote at least 25 books on positive thinking and how to overcome difficulty in one's life. I have read a number of them and they provide comfort, peace and just how to live in a very difficult world. Most libraries and book stores have some of his works. He died 5-6 years ago but his words will last forever. Another great resource is Joyce Meyers --female preacher who was abused as a child and also Charles Stanley.

REmember, most dark clouds move on. I will pray for you tonight and wish you God's peace. Keep the faith!!! Whatever the problems, you can overcome them.
