I'm just curious. Could you please tell me your highest level of education, your current job (you can be general about that, i.e. manager of a large company), and you religion?
Thanks.

I hate typos.
And to be fair: I have a Master's degree, I'm a teacher, and I'm an atheist.

To the person that asked why-because I wanted to see if there were any common threads; either in degree of education, fields of study, or jobs held by people of similar faiths.
And no, I wouldn't take this small poll to mean anything in reality. Especially since we have the variable of the type of people who would spend time answering questions about religion on the computer.

LOl.... So... you are wonderring if Reborn Spirit filled Christians are believing because they are ignorant and "don't know no better"?
Ok....was reading college level books by 3rd grade, was Mensa levels when in 5th or 6th grade, married young (lol IQ doesn't mean a thing when it comes to love or sensuality), went to college after my youngest child reached 3rd grade, had to quit due to finances and being an only parent by then...
...Worked in secretarial type positions as well as any job I could physically or mentally do....worked in the woods with my hubby, worked at many menial type jobs to make ends meet, was a cub scout leader, counceled many hurting people, offered many jobs I could not take because of transportation or simply because of family responsibilities that hubby did not assume...
...my recreation was mostly doing research on different subjects, writing, and reading just because that was free and fun at the same time, lol....After my children were all out of the home, my oldest daughter and I combined households and later, I chose to become caregiver to my autistic grandson and allow my older daughter to experience life...simply because I had lived mine, and her son was going to need care to his adult years when she will have to take over.
LOL I have lived a varied and interesting life... a lot of highs and lows....
My knowledge came by the hard road where I was taught by life, a gift of common sense and creativity to use what I had, and many many many books, lol... same way that I became a Christian...asked God to teach me to read and understand His book at around 4 years of age.... Am soon to be 52...still loving God, still reading, writing, and researching to my hearts content, and loving life. :)
I questioned everything as I learned the Bible...but I didn't give up till I found what I was seeking...too stuborn to quit, lol
and once I found what I always suspected was there, I had no wish to quit. :)
I'm one of those people that never fit into any one category, lol, not even in my Christian Faith...
No more than you do as an Atheist.... have you looked around at all those whom claim to be an Atheist here? You'll find followers and leaders, groupies and loners, fans and fanatics, zealots and passive, sane and insane , in every type group...and not a single one will have all the key elements you would expect if you try to classify whom is whom.
May peace be with you all :)

I'm in college. Atheist.
I've seen reports that over fifty percent or more religious people are of below average intelligence, whereas Atheists tend to be above. I could make a snarky comment about how it's probably true, but I know a lot of wise religious people.
