Get rid of the fear and you crash.
Ol hands like yours truly drive on autopilot most of the time and need a blast up to 130 every now and then to get a bit of adrenaline pumping round. Dont worry but about 1000 miles or a month after passing the test is the most dangerous period for driving, you get overconfident, leave the fear behind and make a mistake Bang.

In driving a little fear can be a good thing as long as it is not debilitating. I would suggest driving on country roads first where there is little or no traffic and you might also try parking lots when the stores or businesses are closed until you get used to it. Be careful and enjoy driving.

Yes, .......you should be scared.
It's a perfectly sane feeling. Driving is dangerous.
It's what will keep you careful and out of trouble.
You get over being scared by building experience.
If you ever get over it totally it means you're getting
too cocky.
Stay just a little bit scared. It keeps you careful.

Just relax and take it easy. I mean, look at all the drivers around you. Some of them drive quite horribly. If they could get through the process, so can you.

It comes over time. Start off slow, no major highways.. get the basics down first. NO loud music your first couple of times or anything too distracting.. Stay alert, and comfortable. Stop signs, stay alert, use signals, no tailgating, brake early, and just be calm. Again everything comes with time.. AND SEAT BELTS!

Don't worry about it, you're thinking too much once you get behind the wheel you'll feel differently.
