It varies depending on the areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn..but a 2 bedroom will be at least 2k (not a nice area) to 6K in Manhattan
And in Bklyn - 2 BR can run from 1200-4000 also depending on the neighborhood...

$2000 - $6000 a month in Manhattan depending upon the neighborhood and the condition of the apartment. Brooklyn is half that, but some neighborhoods are not at all safe.

Manhattan - $3,000 in a good neighborhood like Gramercy Park.
Brooklyn - $1,200 in a good neighborhood like Gravesend. Apartments in Brooklyn, however, are usually co-ops.
