Honestly, it's none of your business! Hehe. I'm not trying to be mean at all, but it's her day, not yours. :)

If she wanted to chew gum, so be it. If she wanted to be naked, she could have! Weddings go however the couple wants, not the guests. :p

Probably not as rude as some of the others, but it really upset the bride and I would be very offended if someone does this at my wedding. The ceremony was close family only, so most of the guests were just invited to the reception. The wedding was organised at very short notice, so not exactly what the couple wanted, but they did a brilliant job. Anyway, a guy that we work with turned up part way through the reception in a t-shirt and ripped jeans. He looked like he'd just rolled out of bed. He helped himself to some food and a couple of free drinks and then left. The bride was really upset and offended by it, which is why it bothers me so much.

The repetitive motion and action of gum-chewing is thought to ease nervous tension. Someone probably gave her some gum to help calm her down and ease her nerves, and she kept on chewing down the aisle!

Maybe she was worried about her breath. I mean, you do kiss and hug A LOT of people on your wedding day.

Also, some people chew gum to alleviate stress or tension. Sometimes all the emotions of the wedding day need to be relieved.

Definitely nervous! She probally didn't realize she was chomping so hard. Same situation at my wedding, my husband was chewing his gum so hard i wanted to pull his teeth out of his mouth and later he told me he was chewing the gum to take his concentration off breakin down & cryin!

If she was nervous and had an upset stomach, chewing gum can calm the access acid caused by stress. Also maybe she had bad breath, or wanted to freshen her breath before walking down the aisle. I hope she spit it out before walking down. You probably weren't meant to see that.

It's probably just a habit she had and by the time she noticed she still had the gum in her mouth she was already walking down the isle! She probably swallowed it after she realized that it was still in her mouth. Oh, and maybe she wanted fresh breath for the kiss!!! ;)

I chew gum when I am nervous, but I am thinking she put some in to have fresh breath and forgot about it.

She might have chronic dry mouth from a medication or allergies -- it makes it VERY difficult to talk. Gum helps keep the mouth moist.
