I got home and realized they may have spelled the rev. name with one T on the end instead of two. Also, she abbreviated United Church of Christ like this... United Ch of Christ....so that it would fit in the box on the computer. She said it's bad karma to abbreviate Christ so she wouldn't put UCC. So what all will be seen on the actual license. When she had us check over things to make sure it was correct we only had to check names and SS #.

I'm actually looking at mine right now, its from NY so yours may differ depending what state you are in but it says

City of New York
Office of the City Clerk

Certificate of Marriage Registration

This is to certify that (Husbands full name)
residing at (address)
Born on (Brthdate) at (City, State of birth) USA
and (Brides Full Maiden name)
New Surname:(new last name)
resing at (address)
born on (Birthdate) at (City, State of Birth) USA
Were Married
on (Date) at (Church Name and Address)
as shown by the duly registered license of marriage of said persons on file in this office.
Certified This date at the city Clerks office
Manhattan, NY (Date filed)

Then its signed by the city clerk.

I have a feeling that everything will be spelled out properly on your actual certificate, she probably just ran out of room on the computer screen.

Your SS#'s wont be on the license since your license will be a public record, they wont print that private information. They only had you put that so they could do your background checks to make sure you arent married to someone else and to be sure your public health record is clean (if you have an STD its reported to Public Health and on file)

My marriage license has all the same info that you filled out on the form. So I'm not understanding your question.

If you are worried that they spelled the officiants name wrong then call and find out if it matters. Unless the officiant contests stating he never married you, it probably doesn't matter that the left off 1 T.
