Now in order to get a bonus, you will have to score at least a 50 on your ASVAB. You will be able to get a quick ship bonus of 20,000 if you qualify regardless what job you pick as long as you ship before September 27, 2007. You might be able to get a small bonus if you enlist as an officer. I would have to tell you that you would have the possibility of getting 40,000 as an enlisted soldier.
Good luck

If you enlist and ship out to basic before Sept. 30th you can get 20k for as little as 2yrs. But that's just where it starts. They have education bonuses, so since you have a college degree I believe it's a bonus of upwards of 8k. Plus they have bonuses for certain MOSes. The number of yrs you decide to enlist for and alot more can add to your total amount awarded.
But remember you only get 1/2 your total amount once you get to your 1st duty station. And then on your anniversary date of enlistment you get a portion of what's left.
Ex.: You enlist before Sept. 30. Your awarded the 20k quick ship bonus, 8k for college degree, 12k for MOS and enlistment term bonus. So you totaled out at 40k and signed a 5yr contract. You make it through basic and are assigned a duty station, within a few weeks (sometimes months) you received 20k. A year goes by and you get another 5k deposited into your account and that will happen for the next 3yrs. It will be taxed!!!!!!!!! You go on to love the army and retire 20yrs later.
Good Luck

The current enlistment bonus is 20k, however officer's don't recieve an enlistment bonus, an officer once commissioned is in until he or she decides to get out.

I can't tell you the specifics about becoming an Army Officer seeing as how the only Officer buddy I has is still way~ at the beginning of the process [she's qualified for OCS & in ROTC at her college].
Other than that, bonuses depend upon your MOS.
I know that I'm getting $24,000 for example.
$20,000 of that is my "quick ship" bonus.

the M9, M4, M11 for MPI and CID, a few SRT have MP5s however virtually all of of them do not, MK19, M249. good enough as for going to K9 good there is not any trying out for it simply on the tuition apartment whilst your going threw the handlers path in TX. good pay depends upon what grade you're within the navy however bonuses good now that depends upon your reenlistment and what you'll be able to get on the time. As a MP there are such a lot of guns we use and such a lot of matters we do. MP= multi reason and that is the reality. someday your at the avenue doing natural cop paintings then the following week your out within the Field and getting used as a infantryman.

Officers do not qualify for ENLISTMENT bonuses. Nor do they qualify for College Loan repayment.
Bonuses vary with many factors to include college credits, quick ship and job selection.

It varies. I only got $1000 but there are some people who have gotten $10,000. It depends on the MOS you want and how desperate their need for troops is. You just have to go talk to a recruiter.
