This is one of those hypothetical questions that a person can't possibly answer until he or she is faced with that situation. My beliefs tell me that the only possible response would be to beg for the mercy of a blindfold and a last smoke before they killed me. However, I do understand the significance of Peter's denial of Christ the morning he was taken to be crucified...as a human being, I have a natural fear for my life and can easily convince myself that as long as I keep my fingers crossed (or as long as God knows my heart if you prefer) that denying him with my words would be ok as long as I didn't really mean it!

The reason this question is impossible to answer is that I haven't faced anything close to a threat on my life if I don't deny my faith. I have faced situations when expressing my faith could cause me to be ostracized by a group of people, get a bad grade in a class, or lose something else that's important to me. In many cases I have chosen to publicly confirm my faith rather than denying it by my silence (or by renouncing it). By the same token, while I've never renounced my faith, I have chosen to hide it to protect myself from perceived consequences a lot less dangerous that death.

I'd like to think I'd be willing to die for my faith, but I know myself well enough that I can't guarantee it...at least not right now!

Put your faith and trust in God. Pray to the Lord before you speak and he will lead you on what to say. I live my life for the Lord. I listen to the Lord on what he wants me to do.
If the Lord put s a doubt to stay quiet then do it. If not then I will beheaded for our Lord. Besides this life is temporary. I rather be beheaded than not go to Heaven.

Ask someone to make sure my head doesn't roll away.

I'd take the beheading. It's just a head.

It all depends on the leading of the Holy Spirit.

If God leads me to stand-fast on my Faith , no weapons or instrument can killed me; if God's Will is for me to live. Example John The Baptist. and John The Apostle(legends have it that even boiling John in hot boiling oil does not killed him, so they exiled him to an island)

Then again, the Holy Spirit may leads me to give in to says what my enemies want to hear but without really meaning it in my heart to saves my hapless children, wife, or friends - then I will do it as I am commanded as I am only accountable to Him , the Righteous Judge. God's Wisdom is beyond Human understanding - you better believes it ! I do!

i couldn't renounce my belief and God, so I guess I'd suffer beheading. That's what I'd like to think.... but I know that Peter told Jesus he would never deny Him, and then he did...... 3 times.

In my heart, I could never deny Christ, my voice (in fear) may. and I'd be appalled with myself if i did.

My head would be chopped off. No way am I going to renounce my faith then die later and go to hell. I would rather die in His name and go to heaven.

Suffer beheading, although I don't think many religions are violent enough to force someone to make a choice like that...

What is ironic about it? If we willingly give ourselves to God, we belong to Him. We are His and nobody can take that away from us.

Take the head.

They cannot touch the soul.

I would not renounce my belief in Jesus Christ. If they killed me because of it, I would instantly be in Heaven with Jesus.
