There appear to be whole websites devoted to bible errors but very few on the Quran. I am not suggesting that this is 100% conclusive proof but it is certainly interesting especially as some muslims challenge people to find errors as well.

I am not religious at all and certainly don't have a favourite religion. I am not suggesting the Quran wasn't written by men either.

Solly
Considering criticizing the Koran is a good way to get some nutjob iman to declare a fatwa (see Salman Rushdie,) this is not a popular pastime.

Interesting point

There are whole websites devoted to addressing the 'supposed' errors in the Bible. Have you visited any?

I have browsed a few yes. This is a question by the way, I AM NOT RELIGIOUS.

Of course not, to them, the bible has no errors. All those mistakes and inconsistencies, that's due to translation, or you're just not reading it right (I guess you're not supposed to read the words that are on the pages, but the words that are in your heart). Oh, they never bother to pick up a Quran, heck, most of them don't even bother to read their own holy book, why should they be bothered with that OTHER supposed word of god?

Islam is not "right" because their leaders are more effective thugs, sorry. If someone held a Kalashnikov to my head, I would declare the Koran error-free, too.

Please. I am not religious but the Quran is as error-ridden as the bible. It is just that it has received less exposure. The west remains a majority-Christian place. I regularly see muslims on here contending that the Quran is full of science. When reading the bits about how man was formed they contend "it is an accurate representation of how it really is" when it is a laugh riot and nothing more.

Heck no! When you consider that the Quran was written entirely by one man, and the Bible was written by dozens of different people, in dozens of different places and at dozens of different times, the harmony and consistency of the Christian scriptures is a far higher accomplishment.

By the way, good use of the word "seems": it makes the question a fair one, without assuming things that have not been proven, and defuses any hostility that people otherwise might have assumed was inherent in the question.

The Quran and the Bible, to atheist like mysefl are of general interest as literature. Nothing more. Both were written by undernourished desert-dwellers a long time ago and should not be taken as the truth.

It's easy to find errors in a book you don't believe in in the first place.

In any case, it's not as "PC" to find fault with the Quran as it is with the Bible right now. Try publishing some satiric cartoons of Jesus, then some of Muhammed, and see what happens.

my guess is the Quran is also written be men who heard the words from their God. The Quran has fewer errors than the bible, but which Christian would believe that?

Someone once told me that the errors in the bible were God's way of keeping out those who really don't want to believe.
