Last time I was there, stayed at the Iberville Suites. It's on the backside of the Ritz on Canal, and was so nice; it was such a pleasant surprise. And we got a good deal on it, so just look at a few travel sites and see what you can find. It is on the outskirts of the Quarter, so a good location.

St. Pierre, Andrew Jackson, French Quarter Landmark Hotel, St. Ann Marie Antionette

I stayed at the Biscuit Palace for my 21st bday with a group of friends. It's right on the corner of Bourbon Street and very unique. But the above listed are also very affordable and all are located in the French Quarter.

Good luck and have fun!!!

I've been there several times and I like the Hotel St. Marie. It is clean and quiet. It was $60 a night when I was there and a block away from Bourbon Street. I think the hotels are fairy reasonable in the French Quarter. That's my recommendation. Also go on Travelocity and you can search transportation from the airport to your hotel. There is a shuttle for about $35 if I remember correctly that will take you to any hotel in the Quarter and return you to the airport. But you have to book in advance. It's worth it. April is a GREAT time to go. Have fun.

Hi, I'm from right outside of New Orleans and there are many great hotels in the area, and the same applies for stayin near (or in) the quarter, hear are a few 4 star hotels in the quarter... Omni Royal Orleans, Chateau Sonesta Hotel, Hotel Monteleone, and Royal Sonesta Hotel. Not to mention we've also got the Ritz in the quarter as well if you want to get really fancy =).

Hotel Monteleone and Royal Sonesta Hotel are both wonderful. They have specials that make staying in the Quarter very reasonable.
