i have seen numerous answers to questions about Jehovah's Witnesses but what i was wondering was if any of you who answer are witnesses yourself or actually know anything about them or their religion.

I am a Jehovahs Witness, so it's a legitimate Question to ask, i see so many pull us down and we take care of everyone no matter who they are. We love even our enemies as Jesus taught us we should not hate anyone not even one who persecutes you.

Hey "schnab" just because you say so, that does not make your doctrine any more true than anyone else. The only thing you are interested in is tearing other religions down.

When you ask a ??? pertaining to Jehovah's Witnesses, unless a Witness answers your ???, all you receive is a bunch of utter nonsense, lies, they know very little about JW's.

Who are most of these people? Some just hate the teaching of JW's, but many are disfellowshipped, apostates, a disloyal person who betrays or deserts his cause or religion.

Not everyone wants to pull the Witnesses down here is a quote from a person:
"I am not one of Jehovah's Witnesses, but that does not prevent me from having the greatest respect for the members of their faith. I met several Witnesses during my incarceration in Gross Rosen and Buchenwald concentration camps. Their behavior was so exemplary and their religious convictions so outstanding that they gained the respect and the admiration of all the other inmates. Even the SS were impressed by them. Jehovah's Witnesses will always be welcome at my house. Said P. V., United States

This is my first time answering a question about the JWs. But I do know some things about their religion. They believe that Jesus was just a man, and not God. They believe that God's name is literally "Jehovah", although that name was never spelled out in the Scriptures, but only the consonants were given, "YVWH". The name was never pronounced by the Jews, except once per year by the High Priest within the Holy of Holies, therefore no one -- except the JWs -- is actually certain how it was originally pronounced. And that the religion was founded in the late 1800s, i.e. more than 1,800 years after Christ's death.

And those are just the facts, ma'am.

Some are JW, some aren't and some used to be. The problem is that even if you give accurate information about the organization and your beliefs, if you are an ex-JW, you are labeled an apostate and disregarded. I used to be a JW and I may disagree with some of the teachings, but I also will straighten out misinformation on here. Not all ex-JW are evil and out to get people to hate on you. That's like saying that someone who used to be an accountant but left the business can no longer accurately do accounting. I don't forget what I was taught just because I left!

It says in the bible towards the end of this system things would be like this. Even when people help each other and try to save other peoples lives, people would turn them away. Same in Noahs day. He tried to tell those people it was going to rain and the flood was coming and they laughed at him and thought he was crazy until the sky opened up. And it started raining. So now its just the same way. Jehovahs Witnesses knock on the door telling them something that can save their lives. And people turn them away like they did Noah. When Gods judement come they will see. Just like those people did in Noahs day. Some people use the excuse and say they have to see to believe. If you really believe in something you dont have to see it to believe it---- thats why its called faith. So please continue to have faith in Jehovah and he will reward you in the end just like many other witnessess.

You believe in Christ so don't let anyone run your denomination down. It is still considered a Christian religion. People like to make fun of religions. You are going to get a lot of stupid answers and tacky answers. Just let it go and don't ask anymore because you will always get ugly responses.

I am not Jehovah Witness but know something about it. God bless you and your family.

You answered the question, you love even your enemies!
My question is, do you really need to be part of a religion to do that!
Don't you think that religion is inside yourself?
It is this little voice in your mind that tells you that you should or should not.
In the meantime, religions, all of them are exploiting you, when you should know that the truth is really inside of you.
On the other hand, if you really need a crutch, go for it, its probably better than nothing.

If you notice, the people don´t know what is God purpose for earth every time I ask what happens with the earth after Armageddon you will notice that nobody truly understand what happened something that you know by heart.
If you notice the only thing they preach is trinity.

Ask agian what will Jesus do during his 1000 years kingdom in earth? and you will realize what I am telling you...

redflower:: we don´t bash people telling them they are going to hell....

^I don't have a problem with anyones religion, I believe in live and let live and what ever religion you want to practice or not practice is okay with me.

What I do have a problem with is someone telling me their way is the only way and if I believe differently, I'm going to hell. There is enough room on this planet for all of us to practice as we choose, without being told we are wrong.
