This is why Christians get irritated and angry. When a question says "Hey fellow Christians, I have a question about God" -- close to 90% of the responses will be from unbelievers with a hateful attitude.

Many atheists are evangelists for atheism. They are not content merely to dismiss the evidence for faith, but they are driven to attack, often by mocking, and sometimes by obscenity.

This suggests that atheists are not satisfied with the meaningless world their faithless thinking has led them to, and that they are seeking the truth. May God help them, and may Christians be patient and charitable, like the Good Samaritan.

However, I would not answer mockery or obscenity. As Jesus said, "Don't throw your pearls before swine."

If responses from atheists make you angry, why are you on this site in the first place? This is a site that's open to everyone, last time I checked...

Granted, I don't answer any question directed toward Christians unless (a) it's about nonreligious people, or (b) it's a question that I think I know the answer to... but if some people do, so what? Anyone has the right to answer anything they want on here. Again, you're going to meet people on this site who have different opinions, not just the opinions that you're looking for.

I really don't answer questions aimed at Christians so I can't speak for the people who do...but I must say that it goes both ways. When I ask questions to my fellow atheists, I always get some Christians that reply, and it can be pretty annoying so I know what you mean. But this is an open forum, so you can't really screen who answers, you just have to deal with it.

When someone asks a question on an open board then anyone has the right to answer. Now, if the questioner specifically asks that only a certain group answer, you will get some from outside that group that do and some that don't and that is individualistic - I don't answer when they specifically ask for one group.

You are posting on a board for all religions - not for christianity only so you should expect to get answers from many different groups of people.

comparable is real of Christians answering "nonChristian" questions- it merely relies upon on what the question is. Christians do it merely as much as extremely everyone else. in case you're able to wish to work out an occasion hunt out the questions directed at Wiccans and notice what share Christians answer- it will knock your socks off.

I am more interested in the question of why are there never many answers at all to thought out, difficult questions directed towards christians?
And for the really difficult questions there seems to be a different answer from each christian.
If you want to save us, doesn't that make it incredibly confusing for that person to know who is correct?
And lastly, most of you on here that respond regularly are SO hateful that it makes it difficult to be polite in general. A few of you stand out as being rational-like William D. (although I find your response to this question to be offensive) and a number of the female christians here.

Atheists have a god. But it is not the God who created and loves us. Their God is the father of lies and the atheists follow him whether they know it or not.

Since the devil hates God and His people, they too hate them and don't want the truth to be known.

John 8:31-32
Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

I have to wonder about that, too. I guess because it is a free exchange of ideas and concepts and they feel that they are right in their convictions as much as we feel we are right in ours.
For instance I just answered a question for Christians about being arrogant and I apologized, though I try very hard not to come off that way. LOL, I got two thumbs down...for an apology.

Because they are filled with rage, hate and loathing in general. Of course, the attitude of some Christians doesn't help any either...the atheists think they're anti God but in point of fact, they are mostly just angry at the more rabid faction of Christians who spend too much time proselytizing and not enough living by example, being more tolerant of others, etc. Works both ways.

The atheists are more evangelical in spreading their faith than we Christians are. They NEED to be good, because they don't have a "born again" ticket to heaven. They're so good they put us Christians to shame! They're so good their **** don't stink!

I would only answer a question like that if it specifically mentioned Atheism. As many here do not seem to have even the most basic idea of what it is, I merely try and educate.

Atheist.
