She didn't say she wanted to meet a wealthy old guy, sheez.
Online is not a bad way to do it. Most wealthy guys don't like to waste time on chick barflies. Many of us work in an office and scan the internet now and then on a coffee or lunch break.
We are looking for a good looking chick that can pop out a rugrat or two without too much drama. We don't mind footing the bill for that stuff either. Some of us are divorced, want to efficiently meet someone more sane than our ex, and want to get on with family life again.
I think pretty chicks have this chip on their shoulder that they are too good to 'resort' to online dating. Consequently, there is a large population of arf arfs in online dating services. I think the same holds true in the other direction.
Answers is also not a bad way to meet someone that thinks in similar ways, or appreciates your thoughts. A pre-physical meeting is a better starting point for something substantial rather than a fling from two opposites meeting in a bar. If the pre and post physical meetings are good, then you have struck gold. However, much 'luck in love' is a matter of convenience. Most people are too lazy or busy to make an effort for compatibility and take whoever is convenient. It's really a shame that people put more effort into planning a vacation than they do in finding a mate.

At work I guess... I think you might want to reconsider that, but if wealth determines it... Ask friends and family, a lot of wealthy men are single, but there is a reason why they are wealthy and single, keep that in mind.
I think you're better off looking through communities such as church and so on, you can find a good guy there. Just weed out the one that's most wealthy out of the group to assure happiness. Make sure you like the guy not only for his money.

This might sound crazy, but here goes: Find a church or synagogue nearby that you can attend on a regular basis, become a member, be active, and let everyone know that you are single and want to marry. Take good care of yourself and present yourself in the best light possible. You would be amazed how many really nice men there are out there, and voila, one of them might be THE one, and he may have money!
A caveat, though, money ain't everything. I married a poor boy from the country, and now we are doing very well financially. Don't rule out someone just cuz he might not have material wealth (yet). My husband is the best man on earth, and he spoils me and our daughters rotten.
For example, we started out almost starving to death we were so poor, and now we are getting ready to buy a piece of property that has several homes on it already, a home for us and a home for each of our three daughters and their husbands.
