Not if you have a good teacher. And take the class with a good attitude. Do not think to yourself that it is hard because then you physic yourself out.

I took it as a 12 year old in the discovery program. It wasn't too difficult if you paid attention. Never goof around with your friends in the class though, because you could miss something important. It actually was pretty difficult, Geometry is so much easier.

I remember it as my most difficult class of all time. I never got it in class and do not understand it to this day.

My suggestion is to get a classmate to assist you or have your folks get you a tutor. There's no need to suffer in silence. Help is right around the corner.

Good luck.

ONLY if you don't understand it. Once you do, it is simple and elegant. Only YOU can determine wether it will be hard for you, by either working to grasp the concepts, or deciding a-priori "It is math, therefore it is complicated and hard".

No. But it builds -- if you don't understand the early concepts, you won't understand the later concepts. If you feel you aren't keeping up, do the work right then to catch up, don't let it go a couple weeks.

Not at all. You just need to make sure that you pay attention and take notes. And study before tests. I took alegebra in 7th grade.

It depends on the person. It was hard for me, but that's only because I suck at math.
