According to Genesis, God created fruiting trees on day 3, animals were not created till day 5.

the oldest fruiting trees, the angiosperms, are not found in all of the same rock strata as the oldest dinosuars. But we should find angiosperm tree fossils in ALL same strata as dinosaurs, and even before, right?

I was told I should ask this in the religion section. So here it is.

I said nothing about the age of the earth, I really would like to know where there are dinosurs and other animals in older rocks than where you find fruiting trees. Otherwise, the Bible would lack evidence for its assertion at best or is otherwise wrong.

hmmm..according to your Science animals were before vegetation? You can trust the dead bones of animals or a living God.

Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Clearly everything ever created is not fossilized and all fossils have not been discovered.

Many Christians have been indoctrinated over the decades and coerced into believing the creationalist view of genesis by their peers. There is irrefutable proof of evolution through fossils. And all this co-incides beautifully with the bible and the creation story. They say you have to believe that the 6 days of creation were 24 hour days even though Peter says, "a day to the Lord is as a thousand years". Gen chapter 2 about the 3 or 4 verse states that "these are the GENERATIONS of the creation of the heavens and the earth" KJV. What is a generation? It's living things that sprang up from other living things. If you put evolution into the picture it also clears up some major problems with the Adam and Eve story like where's Cain's wife come from? And who were the
other people he was afraid would kill him? The creation story is the story of the creation not only of this world and our bodies but of your souls. That's why in the garden we find the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life.

Well I believe in Creationism, and the concept works perfectly fine EVEN with the discovery of animal fossils. The Quran never mentioned that the universe is a few thousand years old or anything of that sort. I would have to guess that that part was added to the bible (by who knows who, maybe Paul), that's why the Quran came to correct all the corruption that happened to the Bible and to Christianity. It's true that the Quran and the Bible share some of the same stories, but have you ever wondered why the Quran shares ONLY the right concepts and beliefs of the bible, but doesn't even have a SINGLE false one out of the MANY that can be easily found in the bible. Because it came from the same God, that wanted to correct what Humans had corrupted.

You must understand that the method used to test the age of materials is based upon chemical principles on the world as it exists today.

The world prior to the flood was chemically different.

We test on principles based on materials that have been saturated with radiation.

The world prior to the flood did not suffer from the massive bombardments of radiation we have today.

The world was encompassed in a body of water, that was between our atmosphere and space. This allowed man, beast and plant life to live much longer then life of today.

So when man uses carbon dating built on principles of chemistry for the world today, it is not hard to see how these principles could come up with such adverse information such as the earth is billions of years old. It is not.

You cannot carbon date material that is not saturated by radiation using basic principles built of materials that are saturated by radiation.

That is why men were led to believe the life of this earth is billions of years old when the Word of God says it is not.

Man can believe God or his own wisdom. If he would understand God, he would learn the mysteries of God and of creation.

The earth has under gone tremendous changes because of the flood, earthquakes, wind, etc.
Carbon dating isn't as accurate as people would care to believe.
None the less, scientist have tried to show us how the earth MAY have looked like in the past and have done a wonderful job at that.
Education is a wonderful tool if it is used to enhance your appreciation for our Creator and all he has purpose, he will certainly do.

Well, every time a scientist makes a measurement, the flying Spaghetti Monster is changing the numbers with his noodly appendage. hope that helps.

The methods which are used to date fossils has been discovered to be inaccurate beyond certain points of time. Plus not all plants fossilize.

How does a coward-a*s order that some history or part of history be rewritten, incl. economy, social ambience, crime rate, and more?

I'm no religionist, so I could care less about related doctrines.

This question has a few problems with it: (1) this has been an enigma since the days of Darwin (2) there is still debate going on about them being monophyletic or polyphyletic - does the group descend from multiple or single ancestor (3) the origin still is unclear (4) evolution of this must be understood in their connection to both plants and insects - they have coevolution (5) is it Late Jurassic or Mid-Cretaceous

Now to explain a little about the Book of Genesis::

First, you have to understand that Genesis is not the chronological telling of the whole of creation, but how man came to learn about G-d and have faith in Him. Each verse is not meant to be read as a physical bringing into creation of each thing described; but rather to tell us simply that G-d created those things. The book is laden with physical and spiritual information, being taught to the believers of G-d. However, He did not want us to solely rely on this account to explain the whole of creation. The Genesis account is to remind us that He created everything and gave it all to us as a demonstration of His Magnificent power and glory. We were meant to use our minds to explore all His Glory and Majesty.

Second, this is an account of our relationship with G-d in the spiritual world. Being created in His Image means that we are not like all the other creatures, we are of physical (flesh) and spiritual being and “made of heaven and earth”. We get our first glimpse of the Trinity here (Let us make man in our image) or as He is called later (I AM). We were in fact made as upright beings (did not evolve from anything else – not even a chimp).

Third, at this time in our history, we were so spiritual and physically ‘true’ that we were able to see and think clearly about all things dealing with both these dimensions of reality. We were not meant to be just one or the other. We (humans) we created to be fully spiritual and fully physical in our thinking abilities. But when we disobeyed by eating of fruit that was forbidden to us. That is when G-d was forced to “turn off” some of our abilities. In other words we were kicked out of the fully spiritual thought process and thus, were no longer able to physically see G-d.

Fourth, the fall of our kind came about because of our desire to not live in a harmony with nature, we are always wanting more and seem to never be satisfied with what we have. So, Adam and Eve ate of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. That turned our pure spirit into one that could desire evil ways and thoughts. The Tree of Life is a picture to us of Jesus the Christ (also known as the Bread of Life). Adam and Eve had the choice of eating of that tree, but instead they gave into temptation and ate the other.

Fifth, we were not meant to be idle people; we were originally to serve a purpose in the Kingdom of G-d who created us. We have over and over again, proven that humankind is evil and sinful, through our actions and words toward others. This is why we are not fit to come into His Presence, unless we are willing to put aside the ‘Adam and Eve’ in each of us and accept that we are sinful beings. Then we are able to accept the Tree of Life (Jesus the Christ) and have our original nature back. This is to say, we can then become a member of G-d’s Kingdom, learn about, and fulfill our purpose which He had planned for us from the beginning of time.

Finally, in all ages of mankind’s history, there have been two types of worshipers: One Cain and One Abel – One are the proud despisers of salvation and the other are humble believers. The “curse of Cain” is put on those who seek their satisfaction and happiness here on Earth, or to be cut off from G-d. There is more to the Bible than some will allow it to be, in the way of visually seeing our place in the Kingdom of G-d and here on this Earth. But I don’t have the time or space on this forum to go into this in its fully needed detail. Suffice it to say, that the Bible is not a physical account of our history (nor is evolution – because G-d clearly tells us we were made up-right humans from the beginning of our existence); but is a spiritual knowledge of where we are from and our future destination.

I strongly believe that once humankind has become believers in G-d (the Creator), our mind will be opened to those things we are still searching for answers about.
