No you can drive in the carpool lane along even if you are pregnant. As long as your pregnant with the child, then the law considers it YOUR BODY. Think about it. You can get an abortion and it not considered murder by law because the baby is your body. Let say that you went to a club and the bouncer told you that you couldn't go in because the child your pregnant with is under age. Would you stand for that. What if your boss told you that you couldn't work because your fetus is under age and that violated child labor laws. You would probably take them to court. Why would there be an exception in the law when it comes to the carpool lanes?

Well, I THINK (not so sure) the reason behind driving in the carpool lane with 2 or more people is so if anything happens, the other person(s) can call for help.
In this case.. a fetus will not come out of you after an accident and be able to call 911 for you =)

You MAY not drive in that lane if you want to avoid getting in trouble with the law.
You CAN drive in that lane if you don't care about getting a traffic ticket.

Call up and ask if the rules permit a car with two occupants if one of the occupants is entirely inside the other.
When the laughing stops you will have your answer.
