Crocoduck a picture of a duck with a crocodile's head.
It was used by American Fundies/Creationists as an example of a *transitional* species.
It Backfired on them, by exposing their ignorance of what evolution theory says.
Instead of discrediting evolution like they hoped it simply made them into jokes.

Sorry, William D, the crocoduck is a Christian invention.
In a televised debate on ABC's Nightline, Kirk Cameron presented artist-rendered images of "transitional" animals that he claims should exist if the theory of evolution is correct. He held up several pictures of imaginary hybrid animals, the first of which was a hybrid crocodile/ duck.
Obviously, evolutionary theory makes no such absurd claims, and nearly ALL fossils are "transitional" fossils. Only those that represent a species with no ancestors are non-transitional.
Since the debate, "crocoducks" have been picked up by many internet denizens as a way to poke fun an Creationists, as the entire concept displays an utter ignorance of the actual theory that Creationists attempt to disprove.
You can watch the video of the debate at the link below. The "crocoduck" reference is near 3min, 45sec.

A crocoduck is a cross between a crocodile and a duck. Kirk Cameron says that if Evolution was true, then crocoducks would still exist. Kirk skipped a lot of Biology classes.

The crocoduck is a lame idea of Kirk Cameron's for a missing link (cross between a crocodile and a duck). It's basically a religious idea to ridicule evolution.
