its been out of date since may but its been kept in the freezer all this time

If it's been in the freezer all the time since you bought it, I think it would still be fine. I never even look at that dates on things when I get them out of the freezer, since I know I've frozen them promptly after purchase. I've never had a problem with a frozen entree.

assuming you mean a frozen lasagna like stauffers...yes..its fine to cook and eat..you may notice some flavor loss but if its been consistantly frozen it will be fine. bon appetit.
