Before you start waxing, put a wet washcloth in the freezer.
After you're done waxing, take it out and hold it on your skin. Don't rub!!! Just hold it on your skin. It really sooths the skin, preventing those little bumps you get after waxing.
Don't apply any lotion to your waxed arms for at least 30 minutes. Not even fragrance free lotions.
The best thing to do would be to go in the shower. Take a nice shower or bath with warm water. Don't use any harsh scrubs or loofas on your skin.

Best thing to for is apply some baby oil on a warm wet cloth just a dab of oil on the end. and hold over red area this till help with the pain. Unfortunately only time will take away the redness.
So if you have a important event get yourself waxed a couple days in advance : )

It depends. Different things work for different people and on different areas. My best friend uses dove deodorant on her eyebrows after she gets them waxed. I gave it a try once and it definitely helped with redness and irritation. However, I find that ice is more soothing (to me) and it helps with redness, swelling and irritation. Also, on bikini area waxing, Tendskin works as well as Bikini Zone gel or Jurlique's Honey Cream. I also find that my skin has a bad reaction to the yellow wax with strips. Hard wax leaves my skin the least irritated. You have to find out what works best for you. Good luck.

Aveda makes a hydrating mak which is clear and great on sensitive skin. We used to keep it in a refrigerator at work for after waxing. The cool mask on waxed ares relieved skin and stopped redness.

I have majorly sensitive skin. Whenever I get my eyebrows waxed I get burned. Try to ice whatever you're getting waxed immediately after.. I found that helps a ton.

1) Apply Azulene oil or an unscented oil to remove waxy residue & soothe skin. Wash w/ gentle soap or shower gel.
2) Aquaphor Healing Ointment is good for upper lip.
3) Apply aloe vera gel or witch hazel to sooth clean skin.

Leave it as it is, don't shower or put cream, just wait 24 hours. Unless it left your skin sticky :)!
