What is your goal as a Christian?
I am referring to the meaning, the reason of your worship. The eventual outcome you aspire to reach this way.

I'm not gonna pick best, cos I have rid myself of opinion on this. But I'm gonna stand with you all and announce that I am not Christian, yet here we are, as one people.
Here we all are, without any intolerance on this whole page. There are other non-Christians here too, but there is no debate, no hate, all love.
This question is now my testimony to inter-religious peace, and proof that we CAN all get along.

OK, so I'm NOT a Christian. Still, MY spiritual goal is to have an everlasting relationship with Deity as fuly as is possible. I also strive to love everyone and everything that I encounter. Sometimes it's very difficult to do that but, most of the time I find it to be very easy to do.

To see all my children in heaven. To hear the words "Well done" from the mouth of my Heavenly Father when I arrive. To know that I have put a smile on the face of God.
P.S. "Worship" isn't necessarily done within the four walls of a church; the best worship is a life lived in honor of God-- seven days a week. Loving God and our neighbor even when nobody's looking. That is what we are here for.
P.P.S. Shawn B: You could've posted your OWN answer, instead of badmouthing other people's answers. Nice of you to come down so hard on people who haven't attained YOUR evident spiritual maturity yet... Which fruits of the spirit were "judgmentalism," "namecalling," and "harsh criticism" again? (Psst... there's a beam in your eye.)
DZE did have a great answer. That didn't make anyone else's a bad answer. Except yours.

As Christians we celebrate the love of God for the world the life of Jesus His teachings and His passion and death and resurrection from the dead. we do this in the holy Eucharist or the Mass, where we also receive what we are, the body of Christ as a spiritual nourishment and a gift of glory, heaven is opened and we are strengthened for the remaining way to get there.

The goal of my worshiping God is that I love Him and have a personal relationship with Him. The outcome is that of any loving relationship. I just want to be with Him and honor Him and He wants to be with me. Oh, and to the Christian, eternity with God has already begun.

Worship is pretty much it. Our goal as Christians ought to be simply to glorify and worship God. The best worship possible is the end result of what we should be striving for.

No goal , just obedience to the bible that in itself is enough reward. The Christ like way of life in so much better than when I had no faith. Life on earth after Armageddon is just a bonus

My ultimate goal is to end up with Christ in heaven! I pray to attain this goal through God's teachings and reaching out to whoever needs it, and to witness for Christ when I can.

Bunny,
I can say no more than the previous answerers. I hope to follow the New Testament Scriptures as we are told to do. Matthew 28, the Great Commission says that we are to go out and teach others. I am hopeful in so doing that many can be saved eternal damnation and loss. GOD wants each of us to be able to find HIS TRUTH. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks,
Eds
