yes - you will slow down your metabolism because by fasting all you lose is water weight and muscle not fat and then gain back more than lost after you start eating again.
to lose fat you only have to create a slight deficit in daily caloric intake.
bmi and scale are pretty irrelevant - what really matters is your body fat percentage and muscle mass plus losing weight will not give you more self confidence.

Fasting is just crash dieting. As you're asking this question you must have some doubts that you would be doing the right thing. When I was 14 I put on a tonne of weight, as did my friends, and then we all 'thinned out' by the time we left school. Don't do it. Be happy with who you are and if, once your body has developed properly (16-18 years of age) you are still not happy with your body, speak to the right people about your diet and exercise. This sit he only sensible thing to do! Plus fasting/starvation only makes your body store food so you put on more weight.

If you fast your BMI won't go down as your body will conserve your fat. When you eat any weight loss will go back on again. Long term side effect is an eating disorder.

Here's something to think about. I do 2+ hours of exercise everyday (joining the Navy), my BMI is 28% and I cannot seem to lose any weight. Think yourself lucky.

fasting at the age of 14 is not good. You truly need to consider what healthy eating is. Fasting is not the answer.
with a 18.6 you are likely under your ideal bmi.

How tall are you? what is your weight and waist?

You need so much caloric intake and protein intake for normal brain and nervous system development.
At 14 regardless of your gender fasting is not a good option for weight control.

At your age, 2000-2500 calories are required for normal body functioning. What you need to look at is a healthy menu. Not dieting to excess. Learn to eat healthy.
Meats, lean beef, chicken, turkey and pork required for adequate amino acids and protein in brain development. Stupid people don't have enough proteins during developmnet
Avoid processed sugars and soft drinks with sugars or sugar substitutes drink tea or water
Fruits, veggies and carbs for energy.

contact a dietitian at a wellness program at your local hospital my guess is they can help you find your ideal weight for your height and age and get you on the right tract to develop a healthy living style.
Fasting on your own is setting yourself up for a serious eating disorder if you don't already have one..

A week is a long time, what type of fast are you considering? Just drinks? or certain foods? or nothing at all? There is other things you can do to lose weight or fat, besides not eating at all. Consider eating a diet consisting of certain fruits, and vegetables, as well as whole grains like cereal, such as plan cheerios, and plain oatmeal etc. Meats such as skinless chicken breasts with the fat removed is good in small portions, you can cut up the chicken and add it to a salad, with a fat free light dressing such as italian, or cranberry dressing. Stay off the sweets, and fatty foods like McDonald's, and begin to exercise more often, try running, swimming and aerobics.

Mustard is a secret bulge-buster. This boosts your metabolism and boosts natural ephadrine, the hormone of which burns fat. According to Jeya Holly, professor of human nutrition on Oxford Brookes University, just a tablespoon inside your food can reduce a flabby waist by 20 percent!

First thing I would ask if if you eat any meats or dairy products. If you do, you will need to be on a modified fast because if you completely fast, you take the chance of the buildup of mucous being set loose in your blood stream. It could potentially kill you. I thought about going on a fast and read up on it before I started. This was enough to scare me into doing just the modified fast. Read up before you start. It's really not the most healthy solution.

It’s Friday brunch time and you simply can’t stop going back for seconds. But hang on! Stop to get a minute and suck on an extra strong mint. The flavour will put you off that 3 rd plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.

it is worse not eating, youll end up bigger, tell you this as i have many muslim friends who gain weight during ramadan,.. and also try the zone diet,, the better you eat the more weight youll shed. but if you wana be anorexic then theres nothing we can tell you to prevent you from doing so. might work but depends on your methbolism,, as if you fast, your body will think it should take the most it can from food when you eat something, making the most from fats nand sugars and therefore you would gain more weight

Go bland. Plain, straightforward, unseasoned food such as grilled chicken, plain rice and a bare-skinned baked potato are nutritious your palette will tire of these individuals quickly, unlike salty moreish ready-made food, which keeps you snacking and piling for the pounds.
