Do you really believe a loving, caring, God that created the whole Universe would come up with such an incredible dumb law as that? Really? Or maybe this is a tool religion uses to keep 'the flock' in line. Kinda like "Terror Alerts''. Tell your Pastor he is wrong.

I do not believe Jesus was divine and I am a catholic, but I will suggest an interesting read, The Jesus Papers by Micheal Baigent. I happen to believe in Jesus of History not the Jesus the Divine. Besides Jesus rarely mentioned God and actually never admitted to being divine. I do not consider myself an atheist, I believe there is a higher power, but I don't believe Jesus was at all his son. I can't understand how or where we lost our common sense, but why do people believe everything that is in the bible when there is no real proof of his divinity, but there is more proof of him being very enlightened, kind of like the Dali Lama, why is that so unbelieveable. I don't know but I won't go to hell either way, God loves me for who I am and as long as I believe in God, I will surely go to heaven, Jesus will be the one to let me in the gate.

Well, I know Jesus, and I love the fact he does such a good job on mowing the lawn...but to answer the other questions, well, I'd rather be in Hell and burn with the greats than to sit in Heaven with the people that believe in God and Jesus...and to ask a question on the going to heaven (No questions asked) does that mean Hitler is in heaven? Or the ones behind the Inquisition? Or Cortes? Or any number of murderers who believe in God and Jesus? They'll be getting inside the Pearly Gates, JUST because they believe in Jesus? Wow...you guys HAVE gone lenient...

Your pastor is talking nonsense!
Jesus himself said that Heaven is for those it was prepared for. Only God decides who goes to Heaven.

Your pastor? You shouldn't just be listening to what he says. Have you read the Bible to see what God says? So, I guess the demons are going to heaven? Ephesians 2:19 "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. " Hmmm sounds like somebody needs to do some homework.

Yes, I know and love Jesus. I was blessed to have grandparents that taught me about Jesus when I was very young. Anytime I have a problem that I can't solve I pray to Jesus for help and he helps me. I hope that you can find a Bible and read about Jesus or ask your pastor to tell you more about him.

You pastor said that!!
You should use your head, and know what is Jesus is all about, not what some guy tells you.
There is one born ever minute, and if that is true what you say about your pastor, then he is that one, and you are the second for believing it. grow up.

When someone asks a question such as this I think of a Christian, German concentration camp guard at Auschwitz in 1944. He has a loving family who he takes to church every Sunday without fail. On this day, he is leading a family of Jews to their deaths in the gas chamber. Here's where things get confusing for me. According to the bible, all the German guard must do is accept Jesus as his savior and the son of god and ask for forgiveness of this terrible sin of multiple murders of innocent victims, and he will dwell in heaven forever when he dies after living a long and fruitful life. The innocent Jewish family, however, because they don't believe just as the German does, after having their lives cut miserably short and not allowed to bring up children have, grandchildren and enjoy the other niceties of life like the German will enjoy, will burn in hell for eternity. That's just sick man.

Yes, I know the Lord and love him with all my being. But...I still must maintain his precepts and avoid the occasion of sin. For instance, just because you love the Lord doesn't give you the right to commit murder and expect to still go to Heaven.
In His Love,
J
