I'm looking to market/sell a few SFR (Secret Family Recipe) to big companies, as my family could REALLY use a big payoff in life.

These dishes are killer!!!

I have one homemade chili sauce that is amazing on baked potatoes, pot roasts, or even as chips/salsa deal.

Also, I have a brownie/texas sheet cake type that is better than ANYTHING I have ever tested.

Any ideas would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!!

Thanks a million everyone!

Find the number to their hq, call and ask them who you would speak to.

Legally, you can't copyright a recipe ... sorry. Also, if you present a finished dish to an experienced chef they will most likely figure it out in no time. There are cases of people cashing in on a unique recipe, but it's kind of a shot in the dark. Your best chance is to win a cooking competition ... but you must win, because if you don't they get to keep your recipe just for entering. It's a double-edged sword. I guess the only way to really enjoy a good recipe is to eat with the family that gave them to you. Enjoy.

you might email, call or write to the companies you are marketing to make the initial contact.
let them know you have family recipes that you think will be successful at their chains and would like to come by the head quarters or see if someon can come to you to make the recipes for them if they are interested.
you might want to send along some letters of people who have eaten them with their reviews of your meals. also have some local chefs try the dishes to give their opinions and send them too.
you want to show how many people like it so far and that it has a following.
