There'd probably be an immediate flood of immigrants - tens of millions, perhaps. The disasterous impact that would have on the infrastructure, culture and economy of America would, even in the absence of a backlash by Americans, themselves, discourage future immigration, possibly for some time.

Millions did in the 19th and early 20th centuries and the Northeast is still barely breathing and alive today because of the influx of immigrants during that time. It's how the great cities of the Northeast were built; on the backs of immigrants that people who were once called derogatory names likes whops,spics, and Mc's. I think it would be in the tens of millions of people if this were the case today, maybe they could rebuild a lot of small towns and cities in the US that are now shadows of what they used to be.
