When I tee off to hit a shot with my irons, I always either completely miss the ball, slice badly, or hit the top of the ball causing it to bounce only about 30 Yards. What can I do?

To help cure the slice, roll the top hand on the club over a little bit so that you see more knuckles, and the top of your hand. When u tee off make the the ball is lined up with your in soul of your front foot. Just relax and take a nice swing! Tempo in this game is as important as straight. You do not have to swing 300 mph to hit it far you just have to be smooth. Have fun out there and don't think about hitting it 300 yards, think about hitting a nice 150 yards right down the middle and let that club do the work for you!

It sounds like you are lifting up. Don't worry every golfer lifts up t some point. You can simply fix this by watching the club hit the ball.

For some reason when we tee it up with our irons we seem to want to swing real hard and sometimes the result is a bad shot. Stay down on the ball watch it all the way through contact. Keep the swing nice and easy believe me you will see the results.

I used to have this problem, then a old pro gave me a tip.Count to 2.Thats how long it should take you to make a full swing.DO NOT TRY TO KILL IT.Just a nice smooth swing, count in your head to 2 while you swing, turn that into a tempo, that will cure your problem, let the club do the work, not you smashing it.

The thing that you can do is to learn to do weight transfer to your left leg (for right hander) early on your downswing. You will continue to hit air shots or thinly if you still keep your weight on the right side.

practice.....keep your head down, and swing your arms like a pendulum on a clock....your head should remain in the same position the entire swing, rise or fall will ruin the shot every time

A good idea would be to start by taking a couple of weeks away from the game.............then GIVE IT UP COMPLETELY!....lol
