People like soda so much.... coke,sprite,dr pepper, etc...
why???? i think soda is very sour and bubbly, and it tastes horrible....

and also there are a lot more drinks other than soda that are sweet..... orange juice!! haha... and lemonade, kiwi juice,sweet ice tea...

Each of us have different taste buds and some people have more taste buds than others. This effects how sweet and bitter things taste to us. I know there's a test you can do to see what kind of "taster" you are, but not sure that's really what you were looking for. Personally, I enjoy soda. I was addicted to Diet Coke for a while, but I think that had more to do with me quitting smoking and moving on to the next addiction, than the soda being sooo good. To me it's sweet and it's a change from drinking plain water all day.

I have never tasted a sour soda since they are usually full of sugars or sugar-substitutes. I and many others think they taste great not horrible and that the fizz adds to the drinking pleasure.
If you think the world is full of soda-haters you should short the stock of Coke and Pepsi and make a fortune on your belief when their stock values go down.

Everyone has different taste buds...I use to love soda. Just ice cold and goes down well. The caffenie helped too!
Now that i don't drink it anymore..its extremely sweet and hard to drink.
Its just a preference or a choice.

people like soda; because it's an adiction and most people all over the world are adicted to caffeine and the one's that are not addicted to caffeine they love to much sugar and sweet. i don't drink soda neither and less i go to a party and they put it in a punch. i drink all kind of juices mineral water vitamin's water and power- aid or sport's drinks there are better for you. i grew up not drinking soda my parent's did not believe in giving soda to children's and know both of my children drink ginger - ale thats the only soda they drink and not to much.

Well it's delicious and unhealthy and some peolple like that. These past 15 months i don't really drink soda i drink apple jucie. But my fav is orange soda

Because it's sweet and most people have been handed a bottle or can of soda for their entire lives. They have become accustomed to drinking it and associate it with childhood and happy thoughts.

omg, i have a soda addiction. very ironic. well i love soda because of the carbonation....just the way it feel in your mouth and going down your throat. and all the fruity flavors like strawberry, orange, grape, lemon lime, etc. delicious! however, it's not the healthiest thing for you, so i've cut down tremendously on how much of it i drink.

Aren't you lucky? Most people like the carbonation of the soda as much as the sweetness. Plus, if you drink it enough, you may feel your thirst is being quenched, but it actually dehydrates you. So it's rather addictive to drink it.

For lack of something better and more easily available to drink. Also, I think some sodas (especially colas) are addictive, especially when you see them drinking one as soon as they wake up!
