The fried oreos and fried twinkies have been pretty popular for years. I made some 4 years ago. The Fried Oreos, Fried Twinkies and Fried Snickers, I thought, were too sweet and didn't like it.
I've had fried pickle slices. I thought those were good.
Elvis "The King" Presley liked the fried PB and J, plus banana.

I think that sounds awesome, they often have stuff like that at fairs festivals. If you go to Vegas they have fried oreos and twinkies all over the place. Obviously not something you want to be eating on a regular basis but at a summer fair or on vacation why not. One of my fav's is a fried peanut butter and bannana sandwhich.

Fried oreos and fried twinkies sound about as appealing as the fried dill pickles.
But you cannot ever, ever, ever go to the state fair and not have fletcher's korny dogs!! Absolutely fabulous. And their little cakes--funnel cakes are pretty good if you eat it fast. And the Belgian waffles aren't bad either.
Are you from DFW? We're in Richardson, and visit the fair whenever we can. I'm a crafter, and I love to see the displays--the quilts, especially. My guys like to see the concept cars. And my daughter (21) is all about caramel apples. One year she won a big bottle of Addams' extract. That was cool.
I just wish it weren't so expensive. We can usually get free admission, but the tickets to buy stuff and eat and ride the rides are out of this world. Nonetheless my family has to ride the ferris wheel (not me!!).
E-mail me if you want to continue this conversation...

All that weird deep fried stuff they have at fairs I think is gross.
at the fair around here they had the same thing
deep fried oreos,
pepsi,peaches, pickles,
twinkies, and the list will go on.
I don't see why people eat these kinds of things, they sound gross to me

Just so you know....Fried Oreos are one of the most incredible things fried...I was iffy at first with trying them but yummy....and they only give you five so you aren't pigging out on them....
I have heard fried dill pickles are actually good but that sounds odd to me personally.

It's sounds very good but, I tried a fried milky way. It was so sweet I felt my teeth rotting on the spot. I had to force down the few bites just to try to get my money worth, you know how expensive that food is, and the dentist bill is for that matter.

Only the fried dill pickles sound even the slightest bit appetizing.

I would be in line with them. I allow myself a treat like this every so often. The key is not to indulge too much. Some fried oreos once every few months does not a heart attack make.
