we bought 3 porkchops at the grocery store and kept them in the fridge until aug 24th. they were best before that date. then we froze them on the same day becayuse we thought we would have ended up eating them but didnt. i took them out of the freezer to eat last night but the bbq got delayed til tonight. they're completely thawed and in the fridge. are they still good?

If they were bought and frozen on the 24th then you are fine. However if you bought them anytime before the 22nd and didn't freeze them until the 24th then I would throw them away. Fresh meat has a very limited shelf life in the refrigerator so it's always best to freeze it right away if you are not going to use it until later.

As long as they were frozen on the 24th because it is the use or freeze by date, and they are were thawed yesterday then you are completely fine pork will become very brown when it goes bad.

If you froze them on the 24th that should be fine. Smell them, they should have no smell at all. If this is the case throw them out!

I wouldn't trust them. Pork is way too iffy to begin with. Better err on the side of safety. Salmonella isn't pretty.

If they still look and smell ok they should be fine. I would cook them and eat them if they were mine.

My rule of thumb. If I have a concern about the meat. Throw it out!!!!!
