Ok so today was the Third day of school and we were told that Friday was the 1st school dance and these group of guys in 9th period came up to me and were like ARE YOU GOING TO THE DANCE!! && I said I dont think so...and they were like if you dont have anyone to go with are you still going and I was like probably not and they were like ok and then this one guy chad (in the group) was like,'' I LOVE YOU!!'' What does this mean do they wanna go out or are they just asking me?

Oh, cute- gotta love those teenage boys... OK, well, their slightly idiotic question was sort of multi-level. For one, they wanted to know if people were planning on bringing dates to this dance or if people were planning on just showing up by themselves or with friends. The second question was probably asked by one of the guys in honor of one of the other guys in the group who likes you, but is too shy to say it. The friend was being his "wingman," finding out if you would change your mind about going to a dance if you had a date, and also finding out if you already had a date in the first place. If I know high-school boys (and I think I do...) the one, Chad, who said he loved you was doing it as a joke to cover up the embarrassment of the friend (one of the other guys) who actually does like you. Guys are weird, what can I say?
I think you should go to the dance, whether you have a date or not. They can be corny, but if your friends are there, you might have a good time.

Ok. Well, it could be a few things. The guy that said that could like you and his friends were trying to help him out. Or someone else in the group might like you and his friends are trying to give him a little push. Other possibilities are they think you're attractive and would simply like to see you at the dance. The last possibility is that they are acting like all immature guys do. The could be goofing around and just trying to get a reaction. For now, just don't react to it. If it evolves into something else, then deal with it then.

They probably just want to go with you because you're pretty or something. Find someone that actually wants to go because you're well, you.
