On R & S, do some people ask you if you believe in God, just so they can block you?

Does that mean they want no answers from any other faiths, other than a religion that believes in a god.

So they want no enlightenment from buddhists, or taoists, etc?

You hit the nail on the head.

The weak of faith don't want enlightenment; they only want encouragement and security. Other people who think/believe differently threaten them, and they can't handle it, so they need to block you.

Of course not every believer is like this. The more mature you become spiritually, the more you can countenance others' opposing opinions w/o freaking out and having to get defensive and argumentative.

We can hope that these blocking people will keep on growing in their faith and become mature enough to have real discussions with people.

yes maybe. i'm not sure if they do that for that reason or if it's easier to understand religion, with the thought- of only God. now, thous who practice, can see personal enlightenment is a road that has to be walked, an uneven and hard road at times. it's easier to look outside one self, then to look in.
