Of course, I wouldn't refuse to sit by them. I would do my best to make them feel welcome. But since the vast majority of people who identify themselves as "born-agains" are Fundamentalist Protestants, I probably wouldn't be sitting next to too many of them during Mass anyway. When I visit other churches, I always try to be very polite and would never refuse to sit by someone.

The real definition of being born again is one who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. If you have done this, then you shouldn't have much of a problem sitting with one seeing as how you are one yourself. However, what you are probably referring to is someone who is "charimatic". This is someone who is also born again, yet they worship Christ in a way that would seem unacceptable to some people, but only because those people would fee uncomfortable around another who jumps up and down yelling and screaming during the church service. I understand your view about that. However, the real question should be what does God think of their worship and what does He think of yours?

I'm presbyterian, and we've only had a couple that would be considered fundie "born agains", and I'm sorry, but yeah, I do avoid them. But then I tend to avoid happy, smiley people too, so it's probably just my own private personality.

The only time I'm in a church is for a wedding, in which case I'm uncomfortable, or a funeral, in which case I'm sad. Either way, I don't care who I'm next to.
